Mina
A sound of a familiar vehicle alarmed me as it honked twice indicating that it's already quarter to seven.
"My angel, your school bus is here. Hurry up."
"I'm comming, mom!"
As if on cue, my little angel, Yuna suddenly popped out of nowhere with her adorable cat named Sarang in her little arms. She's so cute. She's wearing her school uniform with a pink ribbon on her straight hair and a pink bag. She loves color pink a lot and so far, everything matches her school uniform except for one thing, her cat.
"My angel, I know you'd really love Sarang to be with you all the time but I'm afraid, Sarang isn't allowed in your school."
"B-but mom, Sarangie must go to school too."
"I know my angel but your school isn't the one for Sarang..''
"But mom—"
My little angel's rants were stopped by a consecutive beeping of her school bus which reminded both of us that it's time for her to go but Yuna wasn't still letting Sarang go and I'm starting to get worried.
"Come on, my little angel. It's really time for you to go now or you'll be late."
She's still sulking and I don't know what to do anymore until an idea suddenly came into me. Now, I am perfectly sure that she'll love this.
"Okay listen to me, my little angel. How about we made a little deal."
"A deal?"
I smiled seeing how her mood suddenly changed. Now, she's slowly getting curious and that's a good sign. I told her the deal right after she smiled and nodded.
After explaining to her what is the deal, she smiled adorably and let go of Sarang before kissing me on my cheeks.
"Okay, it's a deal mom. Goodbye Sarang, Goodbye mom. I'll see you both later"
I happily sigh in relief as soon as she agreed on our deal and watched her ran to the door with a big smile on her face until suddenly, she stopped. I smiled once again as soon as she turned around and came back running to me while I wait for her warm body to meet mine. She happily gave me a warm hug as soon as she can before kissing my nose.
"I love you so much, mom"
"And I love you, too my little angel.."
I kissed her nose as well and let our foreheads touched as we both utter the same word
"Always.."
This sweet gesture is our daily habit especially when she's about to go to school or when I'm going at my workplace. It really warms my heart knowing how sweet is my little angel is.
After few more minutes, I watched her happily ran towards her school bus once again before bidding another goodbye. She slowly vanished before my eyes as soon as the huge four-wheeled vehicle began moving.
"Take care, my little angel"
Years indeed had quickly passed by and now, Yuna is already nine years old. She's a smart and a healthy kid with a cute obsession towards color pink, cats and arts.
She loves pink a lot that most of her personal stuffs were pink in color especially most of her clothes and other stuffs in her wardrobes. She's into cats as well. I can still perfectly remembered how she cried when I gave her Sarang as a birthday present last year. Arts, she loves arts so much and actually, this surprised me but I still chose to support her.
Until now, I still wonder how did she end up being into arts. Her late biological mother, Eunha wasn't even a fan of arts and so do I. I only began appreciating arts back then when I met Chaeyoung.
"Chaeyoung.."
A smile formed in my lips as soon as I remembered her. It's almost a decade since we last saw each other but I still feels like it only happened yesterday. Honestly, all my pain from that tragic past has now vanished and I'm perfectly good and healed but I know and I'm sure that my feelings for her didn't even subsided.
Being far away from her and not hearing anything from her indeed helped me a lot. I learned to love, value and chose myself this past years. I chose to forgive and to live in genuine happiness. Life realizations helped me a lot and it's all thanks to her.
When she left, I focused on myself, on Yuna, on my family, friends and on my self goals. Now, with the help of everyone around me, I managed to have a business on my own that greatly helps me and my family.
Now, I am peacefully and happily living my life with my little angel, Yuna who always brightens up and completes my day.
I couldn't ask for anything more but there's still a selfish part of me that wishes one more thing. It's Chaeyoung. She'll always be that one thing that I'll selfishly wish for after all these years. I know it's too impossible but until now, I still hold on to the words she once told me.
"..but then if one day, our paths crossed again once more and we still shares the same feeling then I'll be happy to go back home with you."
Those words were the ones that comforts me whenever I'm missing her. Those words also helped me to keep on going. I know she did told me back then not to wait for her but I can't help myself but to still wait for her. The only difference was this time, I am not pushing anything. I don't pressure my self either or anyone anymore like I used to before.
This time, I am letting fate and destiny to do they're part and if one day, they've finally let us meet and share the same feelings once more then I'll do my part until finally we both ended up into each others arms again
"I'll wait for you, baby and I will always will.."
