"Hi—"
"Hey, baby. How's your day? Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere? Did someone or anything upset you today?Did—"
"Wait, Mina—"
"What?"
For a moment, Chaeyoung looked at me suspiciously as if wondering what's with the sudden tons of questions.
"Nothing. I just find it really weird when you asked me how my day has been"
"Weird? In a good way or bad—"
"Good way,of course. I felt so loved and cared and to be honest, I love it. I really do."
She flashed a warm smile before kissing me on my temple. I guess it really touched her heart. Well, maybe because I'm not the type to check out and ask how did her day went even back before when we were still in good shape. She's actually the one who always checks out how my day has been and somehow, it gave me a tiny pang of guilt.
That little warm smile she flashed even made me realized that I should've done this before. I should've checked and asked random questions like how was her day went or atleast asked her if she's okay or not. I should've been more mindful about her well-being just like does towards me.
"Baby? Mina? Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah, I just miss you so much."
"Me too. I've got so busy today. You know, I had to meet some of my future business partners before starting the whole thing."
I examined Chaeyoung's gestures. She can't even look me straight in the eye which obviously states that she's lying.
"Don't worry, Chaeyoung. I know where you went"
"Wait, you know?"
Oh, God!
"Y-yeah, I mean you know..you told me you'll be meeting one of your future business partners today just like you said so..yeah, t-that's it.."
Damn, this filthy mouth of mine can really be as careless as Sana unnie sometimes. I mentally crossed my fingers and hastily wished for Chaeyoung to believe my obvious alibis and excuses.
"Did I really told you about that—"
"Y-Yeah, you did!"
Damn, I can feel my sweats starting to form into beads. I am so nervous. Fortunately, she believed me afterwards then start checking out how my day has been.
Of course, I need to fabricate bunch of lies in order to hide the truth. Lying to her really makes me feel so bad but I need to do this, for now I guess.
After the dinner, we decided to go on a nightdrive and watch the city lights. We happily shared a conversation until we reached a certain overlooking spot that wonderfully shows the city lights from where we exactly are.
"It's amazing right, baby?"
I can't help but to agree. The city looks so small yet fascinating not to mention that the cool breeze compliments the whole scenery.
It feels so cold yet so warm.
"Yeah, it is."
I smiled when I felt Chaeyoung's arms snaked around my waist. The warm contact made me feel so comfortable that I even found myself closing my orbs.
"Hey baby, you know what I really want to take you again on that same spot where we first met"
"To the beach?"
