"Seokjin and I are getting married."
Taehyung spat out his wine, and Yoongi's glass dropped to the floor. The statement had caught everyone in the room by surprise, except for Namjoon.
Jungkook snarled, "What's with all the show?"
"I'm sorry, but did you just announce that you're getting married?" Taehyung inquired as he wiped his lips and set his glass down on the table.
"Have you lost part of your hearing?"
"No, I'm simply shocked, but congrats to you, my King," Taehyung shook his head and said.
"Fuck off!" Jungkook spat at him, turning his attention to Yoongi, who had been silent, "Yoongi, what are your thoughts on what I've announced? What's wrong with you that you're surprised?"
"There is nothing wrong," said Yoongi, clearing his throat as he gazed at the King. "You'd be better off with Seokjin at your side."
"But?" Jungkook questioned, knowing Yoongi very well.
"I don't want to go too far, but has Seokjin consented to marry you?"
Namjoon and Taehyung exchanged a giggle, which prompted Jungkook to question, "what would make you believe he hasn't?"
"The fact that you're making an announcement suggests that he's consented to be married. Glad to hear things are going well for you and him. I hope they continue to do so."
When Jungkook rose and sailed the wine bottle across the room, not one of them seemed bothered. They were used to his actions and only glanced at one another as they watched him pace around the room.
"He doesn't want to marry me."
"Okay, it makes more sense now." Taehyung lets loose with no qualms.
"Don't let me make you a widower!" Jungkook scowled at him.
"Are you envious because my proposal was accepted and yours was rejected?" Taehyung said with a smirk.
"My gut tells me he didn't propose. I'm sure he informed Seokjin they're getting married." Yoongi spoke very knowingly.
"Yep, he did just that." Inhaling deeply from his wine glass, Namjoon expresses his thoughts.
The remarks upset Jungkook. "What does it matter whether I ask or tell him?" he spat back. "It doesn't matter whether he wants to marry me or not; the important thing is that he will. Yoongi and Taehyung, you will do all in your power to make his parents feel at home in the Kingdom. Though I'd want to keep them around for a while, I don't want to tell Seokjin that I'm thinking about it. He has to see me for who I am, not for what I can do for his parents. Namjoon, you'll continue to collaborate with me on matters on other vital issues. Does everyone understand?"
All three nodded their heads, "yes."
"Good. Now, on to more important things. The rumor has it that Prince Jimin would seek my approval to marry you, Yoongi. Is this something you're aware of?"
Yoongi's face became red as all eyes turned to him, "yes, my King, I am aware."
"So you'd want to marry him, right? I don't want to give my approval to anything you don't agree with. Prince Jimin is a real pain in the neck. So I must understand your thoughts around this."
"It would be an honor for me to marry your brother, my King," Yoongi said with a nod.
He rolled his eyes and said, "No need to be so formal; I will approve it once he comes to me solely in your favor. But are you sure there isn't someone else in the Kingdom you'd rather marry?"
