As the soft sounds of Moon's stirring reached Jin's ears, he disentangled himself from Jungkook's embrace and rose from the bed, mindful not to disturb him. Taking his time, he approached Moon's crib, lifting her into his arms and holding her close to comfort her before her fussing could turn into cries.
"Let's get you to the bath." He whispered to her as he left the room with her.
After giving Moon a calming bath and ensuring she was comfortable in her portable daybed, he took one himself. Following his bath, he decided it was time for a walk. He needed to clear his mind and escape his anxious thoughts.
Returning to the room and noticing Jungkook was still sleeping, Jin continued to carefully move around with their daughter, being extra cautious not to disturb him.

As Jin made his way through the grand entrance of the King's library, he felt a rush of relief wash over him as he gazed upon the towering shelves of books. This had become a place of peace for him. After carefully selecting a book, he made his way to the top deck, a secluded area that had become his favorite spot for reading.
With his daughter comfortably nestled in her stroller beside him, he settled into a plush armchair and carefully opened the book. From where he sat, he had a pretty view of a garden and the sprawling, lush woodland beyond.
Lost in the pages of the captivating new book, the hours slipped by unnoticed, the sun gradually making its way across the sky. The beautiful surroundings and gentle mid-morning breeze provided the perfect setting for his morning reading. Taking care of his daughter—feeding her and changing her diaper—was the only time he looked away from the book, but he quickly returned to his refuge.
The numerous thoughts he had brought with him to the library had temporarily disappeared, providing him with much-needed relief from the stress and heavy burden he had felt before going there. A soft sigh escaped as he approached the end of the book he was reading. He wasn't ready for it to end, as its conclusion brought the reality he had avoided for much of the day closer.
However, soon, he was interrupted by the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. He noticed the guards at the door bowing their heads, indicating someone important was approaching. With a deep breath, Jin closed the book and set it aside as Jungkook came into view.
As their eyes met, Jin could see the anger in Jungkook's eyes, which momentarily confused him.
"Why did you leave the room without telling me where you were headed?" Jungkook demanded as he strode over to where Jin was sitting. He firmly grasped Jin's arm, prompting him to stand and face him.
"You were sleeping, so I didn't find it necessary to wake you. The guards knew where I was."
Jungkook's voice grew louder as he locked eyes with Jin. "The guards are not me! Whether I was sleeping or not, you should have informed me of your whereabouts! Are you attempting to leave me? Was this a trial to see how long you could disappear before I found you?"
"What?" Jin questioned, finding Jungkook's assumption to be too much. "Jungkook, did everything I said to you before not make sense or mean anything? If I have stayed all this time, what makes you believe I am trying to find a way to escape now?"
Gazing intently at Jin, filled with deep emotions, Jungkook cradled his face, whispering, "I don't know." Shortly after, his lips met Jin's, commanding a kiss that enveloped them both as his hands traveled to Jin's waist to draw him nearer, their bodies melding together in a tight hold.
As Jin's gaze fell upon one of the guards, a wave of alarm washed over him, prompting him to attempt to break free from Jungkook. However, Jungkook held him firmly, refusing to let go, pausing the kiss only to ask, "What are you doing?"
