Jungkook effectively blocked Jin's path by positioning himself in front of Jin and placing his arms on both sides of him, preventing Jin from moving away from the kitchen counter.
"What do you mean by you do not consider me to be the King while I am here? No matter where I am or who I am with, I am always the King. This will never change. I may be your fiancé, but you should think of me as your King. Do not disrupt the direction we have been moving forward, Seokjin. I suppose I have been patient, and I have been decent. Now, please enlighten me on the nature of the conversation between you and my mother while I was away."
Jin was completely at a loss for words as he looked at Jungkook. Despite occasional glimpses of improvement, Jungkook's behavior on this particular day left Jin feeling deeply frustrated. He didn't believe it was his place to explain to Jungkook what he had learned from the Queen; instead, he wanted to give the Queen the chance to speak to her son and make things right with him.
"My King, I am sorry if the fact that I would rather recognize you as my fiancé than as the King insulted you. It was in no way meant for it to be that way. It can be confusing and annoying when you simultaneously play many roles in my life. However, before you are my fiancé, you are the King, and it is your greatest desire to be honored as such. I will always do my best to keep this in mind and remember it no matter what, my King."
The muscles in Jungkook's jaw tensed as he yelled, "Stop calling me that! I never suggested that you address me in such a way; I only asked that you acknowledge my royal status. When the two of us are together, you may call me Jungkook! Nothing has changed about that."
"Okay, do you have a manual that explains how and when to identify you as the King, Jungkook, Fiance, or human?"
It was evident that Jin was becoming increasingly irritated with Jungkook, and his patience had noticeably worn thin, especially with his second pregnancy.
He scowled at Jin and said, "You are making me angry, Seokjin." His chest rose, and he glared at Jin.
"No, that's something you are doing to yourself, my King. Oh, sorry, Jungkook? My fiance, I am not sure who you are at the moment. Care to clarify?"
He flinched at the change in Jungkook's expression, but he let out a sigh of relief when he heard their daughter cry out.
"I need to go give her some attention," he stuttered, his voice barely audible in the whisper.
Even though Jungkook's stare was intense, he moved when Moon's voice became louder and said, "It appears I need to bring back your punishments."
"You may do that if you want to return to being single." As Jin said this, he hastily walked toward their bedroom.
After washing his hands in the restroom, Jin went to his wardrobe to change his shirt before returning to his bedroom. He had been outside with Jungkook and didn't want to hold his daughter with dirt on his clothing. After changing, he went to get her from her crib.
A smile spread across his face as he comforted her by holding her. "You've been asleep for a while; you must be hungry. Your dad is home too, you know that?"
"Was that a threat, Seokjin?" Jungkook questioned as he entered their bedroom.
Jin looked at him and asked, "What are you asking me?"
"You said I could go back to being single; was that a threat?" Jungkook walked over and held his out toward Moon, which Jin pulled back.
"Please wash your hands. I didn't mean to threaten you; I was just being honest. I will leave if you think of punishing me and returning to your old ways. My children and I won't tolerate it. I've stayed with you because of the positive changes you've been making.
