After hearing the King's words, Jin wasn't able to keep his thoughts straight, regretting now that he hadn't changed out of the revealing shorts set he had been wearing, as he sat around the table feeling more exposed than ever. However, he tried to regain his focus quickly, and he completed sharing the details of how he got to meet Jimin. He watched the King eating and listening to him speak, but his mind and nerves were all on what was to follow. He was unsure if his body was ready for yet another night with the King. As it had not been long since they had done it, so it didn't make any sense to him why the King wanted to go there with him again.
At least he thought he would wait until he found out if he was pregnant before trying it again. As a result of everything that had happened, he was not mentally ready, but he knew that could never be a conversation he could have with the King. Having already witnessed the extremes to which the King could go, he knew he did not want to suffer the same fate as Micah, he had his parents, and he needed to ensure they survived, for crossing the King could mean his parents would also be like Micah.
Jin nervously picks at his food after telling the story of how he met Jimin, his lack of appetite preventing him from bringing the fork to his mouth. It was difficult for him to eat the food despite its appetizing appearance due to the thought of what was to come. Yet he knew that he had to force himself to eat; otherwise, he would face the King's wrath. Having seen enough of his wrath, he wanted to stay on his good side as much as possible.
When the King's eyes met Jin's, he quickly looked down at his food and raised the fork to his lips, taking a bite with trembling hands.
"Is the Queen's cooking not to your liking?"
"N-no, my King, that's not it; I will eat well. If I portrayed it that way, I apologize."
With his heart racing, Jin began eating, keeping his eyes down, not wanting to meet the King's gaze again.
Having watched him for a while, Jungkook spoke, "I want you to tell me everything that's happened with Jimin since you've arrived here. I don't want any detail to be missed. Anything you omit will bring severe punishment."
With nothing to hide and not wanting to upset the King, Jin followed through with the King's request by sharing everything that transpired with him and Jimin since he arrived at the kingdom.
"What is the name of the person who prepared the tea Jimin makes you drink?" Jungkook asked and got up from his seat. He seemed angry, but Jin wasn't sure as it had been a common look for him.
"Umm, I think-"
"What is the purpose of the tea Jimin has you drinking?" Jungkook cut him off as he asked another question.
A fog suddenly gathered in Jin's mind as the King began to lash out, his cold eyes set on him, making him look away, "F-for my skin, to rid blemishes, Jimin said you don't like anyone with scars or blemishes on their body. I-I drink it to remove toxins."
"I have seen you naked; what imperfections are you trying to remove?"
"I-"
"Stay here. Do not move." Jungkook orders him to, as he walks towards the door, exiting the room.
As he stared at the closed door, wondering what was going on, Jin sat still in his seat, heart pounding. Did the King get angry that he had been drinking tea to remove toxins from his body?
Jin waited for a long time even as he rearranged the King's utensils on his plate, placing them at the side, and covered his food because he didn't like how the King had left his plate, his meal opened and uncovered, with the utensils sitting there.
