When Jin fell to his knees in tears, he cried, "my King, please, don't do this to me; I don't want to leave; I don't want to be without my daughter, please," Jin pleaded with the king. "I'd appreciate it if you could reconsider your words this time around."
"Wow, I am now your King," Jungkook said, "it's incredible how one minute I am a monster and the next I am a King." Jungkook looked at Jin in amazement, unsure how he was able to transform so quickly.
"You're a monster. Only a monster would do what you're doing to me right now!" Jin exclaims. "How can you ask me to go without her when she is my daughter? How, my King, are you asking me to do this?"
"Stop calling me a monster!" Jungkook says as he leans down and grabs Jin's jaw. "I am not a monster; you, not I, are to blame for this! I wanted you to be here, but you didn't want to be here, so I'm giving you the freedom you've requested. You are free to leave my Kingdom and bring your parents with you. Moon is my daughter, and you came here to offer her to me. As King, I get to choose who she remains with, and she is staying with me. If that makes me a monster, then fuck it, I'll be the fucking monster, Seokjin. I tried with you, I gave it my all, but you always looked at me the same way, as if you don't care whether I try or not."
"What you do is referred to as "trying." Do you have any experience with trying? You've never apologized for anything, and now you're asking me to leave without my baby. I'm not going to abandon my child, and you're not going to take her away from me."
"I'm not doing anything; it was you who did it, not me, and I have been trying even if you refuse to accept it, and what should I apologize for? I am a King, do you not get that?" Jungkook says as he releases Jin's grip. "Get up and get out. I want you out, now. There is no use of you being here if you can't accept that I have been trying for us; I have been the only one trying for us."
"You are an animal! I hate you so much!" Jin screams at him.
"Do you want to die?" Jungkook said, grabbing him by the shirt and hauling him to his feet.
A loud thumping knock arrived at the King's door before Jin could react, and the bell rang, forcing him to let go of Jin. "What the heck is going on here?" He curses as he rushes to the door, knowing that something must have occurred for his door to be banging in the manner it was.
When Jungkook opened the door, he noticed his brother and Yoongi standing behind him, Jimin was in tears, and he said, "Something terrible happened."
"Can you tell me what has happened?" Jungkook questioned, anxious to know what had brought his brother to tears and Yoongi to his door at such a late hour.
"Jin's father has passed away," Yoongi spoke up because he knew Jimin wouldn't be able to deliver the news in his present state.
Jungkook's eyes widened, "what did you say?"
"We had supper with them earlier tonight, and he began complaining of chest pain, so we called a doctor right away, and they transported him to our hospital, but he passed just thirty minutes later."
"Why didn't someone come and notify me about this before now?" Jungkook said as he clenched his fists on the door. "Why the hell did you wait this long to inform me?" He yelled at both of them.
"I-I didn't think this would happen, and I didn't want to worry Seokjin." Jimin let out in tears as he leaned against Yoongi for support.
"Where is Seokjin's mother?" Jungkook wondered as he glanced at the two, unsure what to do with them.
"She's in the hospital; she passed out, but the doctors are with her; we believe Jin should be aware."
"You suppose he should be aware?" Jungkook grabs Yoongi's shirt. Why did you wait until now to fucking say something?" He shouted at Yoongi.
"It was my fault; I am sorry." Jimin cried.
"When isn't it?" Jungkook lets go of Yoongi and focuses his gaze on Jimin. "Go right now, have my doctor in charge of his mother's care and you!" he points to Yoongi, "how could you wait this long to alert me?"
"I am sorry, my King." Yoongi's eyes fell to the floor.
"Fuck!" Screaming, Jungkook slams the door in their faces. He leaned against the door, tears welling up in his eyes, which he wiped away; he didn't know how to break the news to Jin, particularly after all that had transpired between them only minutes before.
He walks away from the door and goes to the kitchen, where he had left Jin, but he doesn't see him there, so he proceeds to their bedroom, where he finds Jin sitting on the bed, weeping as he holds Moon.
"Please don't take her away from me; I apologize for my previous words; I shouldn't have said those things to you, please I can't live without her. She and my parents are the only families I have."
"Moon belongs with you; I'm not taking her," Jungkook said, pressing his lips together and inhaling deeply.
"Really?" Jin asks, his eyes widening as he turns to face the King. "Are you serious about this? Are you sure this is what you're saying?"
"I am confident; however, you will keep living here since I do not want you to go," Jungkook nodded, unable to look Jin in the eyes. "You were correct with labeling me a monster before," Jungkook says as he goes up to Jin, takes a seat next to him, and rests his hand on Jin's shoulder.
Tears streaming down his face, Jin shook his head, "I am sorry, I was upset-"
"No, you're right, and I know you'll hate me even more once I tell you what I have to tell you."
"What are you telling me?" Jin asked Jungkook, not understanding why he sounded like he did or agreeing with what he had said previously.
Jungkook took a deep breath; he had to say it, there was no perfect way to deliver the news to Jin, "I found out some minutes ago when the bell rang from Yoongi and Jimin that your father is no longer with us."
"That's a lie; I saw my father earlier; he's okay. Why are you saying this to me?" Jin blinked fast as he stared at Jungkook. "Why do you do this?" Jin rose from the bed, perplexed by Jungkook's statements. "Why are you fooling me now?"
"Seokjin, I am not telling you a lie; I am sorry. I wish I were telling you a lie."
"I know you're lying to me; you're telling me this because you want to keep hurting me. I'm going to my parents; I can't believe you've stooped to this level; how can you be so cruel?" Jin lets out with tears in his eyes as he hugs his daughter closer to his chest.
"Seokjin, I guarantee you I am not lying to you," Jungkook says as he rises and removes Moon from Jin's arms. "I would never tell you anything like this if I knew it was a lie."
Jin refused to put his confidence in Jungkook since he had previously seen his parents and was certain that his father was in good health, and he believed Jungkook was merely being cruel to him.

During a brief moment of silence before Jimin, the doctor expresses her regret for not being able to save Jin's mother's life due to a sudden cardiac arrest for which they were unable to revive her.
Jimin's entire body went numb, and Yoongi quickly wrapped his arms around him, "this isn't good."
Yoongi couldn't talk to Jimin because he knew it would be bad for him, and he couldn't imagine what the days ahead would be like for everyone in the Kingdom.
