We walked up to the gate and rang the bell. A man came out from a hole in the door asking who run the bell. We said that we did but he was annoyed that we didn't read the sign. The sign that wasn't there, might I add. He thought it was there but it wasn't so he put the sign up and left. The bell was out of order so we had to knock instead. He came back happier this time and asked what he could do for us. We said we wanted to see the Wizard. He explained that no one can see him and that nobody's ever seen the wizard, not even him.

He was ready to leave again when Dorothy explained that we had to see the wizard because Glinda sent us. She proved it by showing off her ruby slippers. With this new proof, the man let us in. A cab came over saying he could take us anywhere we wanted. I asked if he could take us to the Wizard. He said he could but he was going to take us somewhere to clean up first. That doesn't sound bad right now so we got on. But the former white house that was pulling the carriage was now purple! That's not right.

Wait, this isn't Kansas. I forgot. As we went, the people of Emerald City waved to us as a hello. And the horse kept changing colors. I almost don't want to go home now. This place is amazing! We arrived at a place called 'Wash & Brush up Co.' We walked in and were taken care of. Scarecrow got restuffed with straw so hopefully, he won't be as floppy as before, Tinman got shined up, Dorothy and I just had our hair fixed and other things, and Lion got trimmed, washed up, and groomed.

When we were done, we walked out to see the townspeople again. We were all laughing as this place was so cheerful. But it stopped when we saw the Witch writing in the sky telling me and Dorothy to surrender. Not knowing who we were, they all went to the Wizard for answers. Well, may as well follow them. We followed only to have a guard tell everyone that the Wizard had everything under control and told everyone to go home. We came forward and asked to see the wizard. He told us no one was allowed to see the Wizard right now.

Scarecrow told the guard that we were the girls the Witch mentioned. Now knowing this, he left to talk to the Wizard about seeing us. Everyone was so excited to get what they had always wanted. Lion especially. He even sang about what would happen if he was finally King of the Forest. All he needed was courage. Once that was over with, the guard came back saying that the Wizard told us to go away! So we came all this was for nothing! Dorothy started to cry. She was so desperate to make it home to see her Aunt and Unkle and now she'll never see them again.

I have nothing to get home to besides seeing that Dorothy got home safe. The guard had heard everything and was actually crying waterfalls of tears. He explained that he once had someone like Auntie Em so he took pity on us and let us in. We walked down the obscenely long hallway to the Wizards Chambers. As we walked there, Lion was becoming scared again. Honestly, I can't blame him.

If the Wizard wanted us to leave, he clearly isn't that nice. But we had to drag Lion into the room with us. We walked in to see a throne and some pipes behind it. Where's the Wizard? Just as I started to wonder that, the Wizard appeared as a green disembodied head above the throne with roaring fires and smoke.

"I am Oz the great and powerful!" The wizard said, "Who are you? Who are you?"

Dorothy walked forward, nervous, "If you please, I am Dorothy the small and meek. We've come to ask you..."

"Silence!" The wizard interrupted.

Dorothy jumped back in shock and ran over to us

"The Great and Powerful Oz knows why you have come. Step forward Tinman!" Tinman came forward, "You dare to come to me for a heart, do you? You clinking, clanking, clattering collection of caliginous junk!"

"Uh, yes-yes sir. Yes, Your Honor," Tinman replied nervously, "You see a while back, we were walking down the yellow brick road and..."

"Quiet!"

Tinman jumped back, terrified, and walked back to the rest of us

"And you, Scarecrow have the effrontery to ask for a brain you billowing bale of bovine fodder!"

"Yes, Your Honor, I mean, Your Excellency. I mean, Your Wizardry!" Scarecrow said bowing on his knees!

"Enough!"

Scarecrow came back over

"And you, Lion!" Lion stepped forward, "Well?"

Lion was unable to answer and he fainted on the floor. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, and I kneeled down to help him wake up.

"You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Frightening him like that when he came to you for help!" I said to the Wizard

"Silence, whippersnapper!" The Wizard said to me, "The beneficent Oz has every intention of granting your requests."

Lion woke up at the mention of that. Well, good. I don't like me or my friends being scared like the for nothing!

"But first you must prove yourselves worthy by performing a very small task. Bring me the broomstick of the Witch of the West," The Wizard said

"But if we do that, we'll have to kill her to get it!" Tinman said

"Bring me her broomstick and I'll grant your requests. Now go!"

"But what if she kills us first?" Lion asked

"I said go!"

Lion got frightened and ran out of the throne room and he jumps out through the glass window. Scarecrow had fallen down again so I helped him up and the rest of us left. Maybe trying to see the wizard wasn't as great as we thought. But why the Witches Broomstick and why can't he get it himself? Either way, we have to do it if we want to get what we asked for. One more journey and then we'll be off home. I hope.
