So, on our walk, I asked Marshal and Wiser about Scarecrow. Specifically why he supposedly talks about me so much. Wiser explained that Scarecrow would just talk about me, our time together when we were going to get him a brain, how he felt about me, and just how I was as a person. I've never had someone talk so fondly of me. Does that say something about me or did he like my company that much? I don't know. I'll just ask him once this trouble he mentioned is over.

We walked until we came across a wall that stretched on for miles that was made of teacups. Dorothy tapped a bit of it and said it was made of China. Wow, our Great Wall of China back home has been taken it literally here in Oz. Above the gates, a little guard made of China popped out and asked who we were and what we were doing here. Dorothy introduced everyone and explained that we had to pass through the country to get to the Emerald City. The guard told us that we could only go through if we had permission from the Princess of Dainty China County.

Being polite, Marshal asked the guard if we can speak to the Princess and hopefully pass through. The guard told him no because she was busy trying to find a suitor to marry. Well, I'm sorry Marshal but I have a plan and that involves using you. I said that Marshal was a suitor wanting to ask for the Princess's hand in marriage. After hearing that, the guard let us in. We walked in as Marshal said that he didn't want to be a suitor or get married.

I relate in a way but if we want to talk with the princess about passing through the country, he has to do it. I gave him a little encouragement by asking what if she was cute. He just commented that appearance isn't everything. Okay, Mr. Polite. As we made our way to the palace, I have never seen so much China in my life. This is a collectors dream!

We walked inside to see everything so small. We're as tall as half the room. But everything is so beautiful. A line of suitors from this country and other countries were in front of us. A Munchkin ran past and skipped most of the line. I pushed Marshal into the line as a servant cleared his throat.

"Figures and figurines, may I present the Royal Highness, the princess of Dainty China Country."

Everyone sitting down stood up as the Princess walked into the room. Okay, she's actually really beautiful. She's a good singer too. Well, an opera singer but still good. She sat on her throne and we got to the first suitor. He looked like someone from Russia. I don't know how else to describe him. Just your stereotypical Russan without the accent. Either way, he was rejected. It was the Munchkin's turn now. He handed her a daisy and tried to win her over. It was a no too in the most brutal way ever. Next. Well, he didn't last long.

The Princess could see the cracks on his face and really, all over. She pointed them out as she sang louder and louder, shattering all the suitors who were made of China. Um, I thought the whole joke was an opera singer could shatter glass with their voice. Either way, they all shattered. The Princess ordered the menders to get some glue and fix them up. The only one left now is Marshal who was clearly very nervous, stumbling and stuttering over his words. The Princess insulted his stuttering and everyone laughed. What Marshal did next actually shocked us all.

'When a princess seeks a prince, there's only one heart to convince. A heart that flutters like the wings of singing doves. One can dream the dream alone or pursue a man unknown. Companionship and, someday, even love.'

Marshal never seemed like the singing type so that was shocking! Wow, his voice is smooth! But the smiles and shock came to an end when everything started to shake. An earthquake! Everyone ran out of the palace to be safe. The place was almost falling apart! The Princess was in trouble but Marshal saved her from getting smashed. She was taken away and Dorothy dragged Marshal away. The Earthquake ended but the place was broken and cracked. Some of the people were being taken to the hospital for cracks and injuries. Marshal soon reminded us of why we came here.

"Excuse me? Your Highness. May we please pass through your country on the yellow brick road?" I asked

"No. You'll have to go around," The Princess said walking away

"But that could take weeks, and our friends are in danger," Dorothy said running after her

"Who do you think you are, interrupting royal business with your petty travel plans? Can't you see we're in a state of emergency?"

"Yes, I do see. My home is in trouble too."

"Perhaps you can make an exception for Miss Dorothy Gale and (Y/N) (L/N)?" Marshal asked

Well, that got her attention, "Oh. So these are the famous girls who vanquishes wicked witches. And the girl Scarecrow talks about so much. I thought Dorothy would be taller."

"Milady, they're both very resourceful young women," Marshal said

"Ah. Perhaps you'd rather be a suitor to Dorothy!" The Princess said

"That's not what I meant!"

"Silence!"

He shut up. Why didn't she add me to the list of suitors for Marshal? I'm more confused than I was the first time we came here! And what is it with Scarecrow talking about me so much?! Now I have to see Scarecrow because this is getting confusing. Anyway, back to the Princess.

"These are troubled times in Oz. Behind our great wall, we are safe. Now and again the Jester sends an earthquake or two just to rattle us. But never one so big. He must really be angry about something... or someone," She gasped, "This is your fault!" She pointed at Marshal and Dorothy

"What?" Dorothy asked

"Now just a min..." Marshal started before being interrupted

"Don't deny it. You wanted a little shortcut, so you forced your way in and brought the Jester's anger with you!" The Princess said

"We don't know any Jester," Dorothy said

"We're just trying to get to Emerald City to see the Scarecrow. Maybe we can help your people somehow," I said

"You're just two little girls from Kansas. What could you possibly do?" The Princess asked

"But I..."

"She doesn't even have a title."

The Princess just laughed with her maid and servant. What she said crossed the line for me

"Title or no title, it makes no difference! The last thing we heard from Scarecrow was that there was trouble in Oz but he cut off when he was explaining! We're in the dark yet we're doing more to save your people and Oz than you are! You're worried about getting married while the world is falling apart! Look around you! Your people are scared! They don't know what to do! They just want the Oz they knew back! So you can sit on your throne and let this continue or you can let us pass through your country and save Oz!"

The Princess looked at her people and heard the work to get the place back to normal in the distance.

She cleared her throat, "I'm going with you."

"What?" Dorothy asked

"I'm going with you."

"No, milady. You mustn't go. You could be fractured before you reach the river," the servant said

"If I don't go, we could all be broken," The princess said

"Then I will send the Royal Guard with you."

"No, that won't be necessary. Marshal Mallow will keep me safe."

"You have my word, milady," Marshal said smiling

The Princess addressed her people explaining where she'll be going and that she'll help us stop the Jester she mentioned. Who is the Jester? I'm guessing he's the problem but I want to know for sure first. We'll once the Princess was better dressed for the journey, we left to go to Emerald City.
