I Can Forgive But I Can Never Forget ~ Siddarth's POV

"Umm Siddarth , will you let me in ?" She asked

" Y..a... yes. ." I stammered.

She examined the room ,

As soon as her eyes landed on Arman, she said , "Arman ? Is it you ? For real ?" She said in a really shocked voice.

I put my arm around her shoulder , as Arman walked upto her.

" Payal. " he said.

Shit !

She slapped him.

And ouch.

She hugged him.

And then ,

Thud !

Payal collapsed on the floor before any of us blinked our eyes.

" Shit !" I muttered , and lifted her up from the ground and layed her down on the couch.

Daisy immediately got a glass of water and sprinkled drops of it on her face.

Arman was just standing away from all of us.

Payal gained her consciousness and the first thing she asked was , "Arman ?? Are you there ??"

Arman came near the couch and got down on his knees.

" Sorry Payal , I'm really very sorry. " he said in a soft whisper.

" I can forgive you , but I can never forget ." Said Payal.

" I wish the reverse happened. " muttered Jai.

" Shut up." Daisy nudged Jai.

" Why did you leave without telling us ??" Asked Payal.

" I don't wanna bring the buried things back to life , so can we just leave it there and make a new start ?" Asked Arman pleading in a soft tone.

" I've already made a new start. I'm sorry but if you think there's something between us anymore , you're wrong." Saying so , Payal got up and sat Indian style on the couch.

"Payal I'm really sorry for whatever you and Jai have been through but I'm willing to make it up to you guys" Said Arman.

" Arman , I don't know what to believe and what not to ? So I need some time. You need to work really hard to make it up to me and Jai . I'm willing to take a chance. " Said

Payal.

" Thank you soo much. " he said.

She got up from the couch , and walked to the door ,

"Just so you realize that it's too late for you , meet my boyfriend , the person sitting right next to you . Siddarth Lamba. I may have spent a lot less time with him than you but there's something in his eyes that says I won't leave you alone. " she said and shut the door.

Thud ! Came the sound of the door.

Arman and Jai started arguing about something .

I didn't care anymore , I got up from the floor and ran as fast as I could behind Payal.

The words that left her mouth reverberated in my brain.

Meet my boyfriend , Siddarth Lamba.

The way she had said that one single line.

And how much confident she had been about me not leaving her alone , damn she was right.

I won't ever leave her alone.

I found her in the parking lot of my estate , she was sitting behind the wheels of her Audi.

Tears running down her rosy little cheeks.

" Open the door Payal. " I tapped at the window and said.

She didn't respond.

I tried opening the door , and yes , she hadn't locked it.

" Payal please don't cry. He was just asking for a chance. And it's not like only you and Jai have been through too much trouble. Think about him , how he might have felt , leaving you guys and his parents and going to a foreign country where he had no one to call his own. " I reasoned.

" He had someone , her name is Chavi !" She sobbed.

" Look o're here." I said putting a hand on her shoulder.

She turned towards me.

Then I explained her about Chavi and the baggage that weighed down Arman.

She was still sobbing.

" Siddarth please take me somewhere away from all of this. I'm tired of being hurt. I'm tired of staying strong. I need you to hold me from falling down. " she said with pleading eyes.

I just hugged her tight and asked her to shift seats and drived her to her house.
