Chapter II - Henry’s friend
Tomorrow is actually the first day off of Helise, uumpisahan na niya ang pahingang sinasabi ng asawa. Originally, she only wanted a week of rest but her husband insisted two months of rest for her.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to go with you in Taguig?” Helise asked, she’s still wearing her night gown.
“No need, honey. I can manage. You can go shopping with your mother today.”
“Mom is probably busy and I was planning to visit them on Saturday.” lumapit si Helise sa asawa, hindi na nakatiis na makita itong hirap sa pag-aayos ng neck tie. Tsk! “You kept on struggling!
“I’m sorry, honey. “I really can’t live without you.”
Tumaas ang isang kilay ni Helise. “And what will you do in your meetings with your business partner in Batangas? You’re supposed to wear neck ties everytime!”
“I’ll just wear my informal clothes then.” pilyong hinalikan pa siya nito sa ilong.
Helise was hoping that her husband succeeded this time. She also received reports from Emil, hindi ito sumama kay Tristan sa Batangas dahil maraming aasikasuhin sa opisina ng hotel.
Actually, Helise is currently physically resting inside her home but she is mentally at the office. She couldn’t stop thinking about work!
That’s why the next day she decided to do golfing with her friends; Samantha, her brother’s wife; Jelly, a successful OB-Gyne and Chesca one of their hotel manager.
They were sitting under the huge white umbrella, hinanda ng staff ng golf club iyon para komportableng makapagpahinga ang magkakaibigan habang naglalaro ng golf, it was her sister-in-law’s by the way—the golf club.
“Monica didn’t come?” Chesca asked while aiming the golf ball.
“She’s busy these days.” Jelly answered.
They were talking about their lawyer friend, Monica Tang.
It was Helise turned as her friends continue to chat, she focused on gripping the club correctly, standing directly behind the ball, keeping her eyes at the ball and her arms nice and straight before she took a swing.
She heard them clapped.
“Nice swing, Helise!”
“Didn’t know that Helise San Isidro-Mercado knew the word “rest.” kantyaw ni Jelly sa kanya. “Isang himala na ikaw pa ang nagyayang mag golfing today, you’re always busy just like Monica.”
“My husband made me rest.”
“Awww! Iba talaga si Tristan! So sweet, unlike my boyfriend, he’s stressing me out these days!” Chesca said.
