LOCATION THE NETHER.
HONESTLY, YESTERDAY WAS just tiring. you ended up staying up with quackity to explain to him what replicants were, treading through the forests while having the same conversation you did with ponk, him absorbing all the new information from XD like a sponge. nevertheless, you ended up getting a good sleep. your body was slightly tense and ached in the morning, but at least all the running back and forth and the dream smp drama induces plenty of exhaustion.
so today you decided to refrain from going on grand expeditions. instead, you stayed within an area that you got used to rather quickly: the nether. you felt like getting more netherite or nether quartz at the least in order to trade with puffy. once you headed in the nether portal, you were teleported to said cube, already feeling it shifting. you took a cautious step out, looking around before advancing further. you killed some mobs along the way, using the paths that were built around. while traveling, you eyed some nether quartz in the distance, deciding to keep following the paths and jumping onto a nether fortress to get to the other end that had what you're looking for.
when sneaking around the nether fortress, sometimes encountering piglins and having no problem passing them with gold boots on, you heard the sounds of blazes struggling, reverberating against the fortress brick walls. when you stopped and glanced to your right, you found someone in full armor backing away slightly, hiding behind the brick to avoid a fireball before running up the steps again towards the blaze spawner, successfully slaying them as blaze rods and exp dropped on the ground in your view, the exp hovering towards said person.
when they came into your view again, you watched them collect the blaze rods and check them by eye before turning and facing you. they paused as well, looking rather dazed and confused. there was an almost awkward tension between the two of you since you didn't recognize one another. "uhh.. hey." you decided to let out, giving a gentle wave of your hand. "hey." they greeted back in a confused voice, attempting to advance towards you with caution. you also advanced forward as slowly, meeting them in the middle of the hallway. up close, they were about the same height as quackity, had blue eyes and dark hair, and the username above their head read connoreatspants.
