"heyyy hermosa! you did a fantastic job."

quackity expressed, of course starting with praising you. an instinct in you sensed that with his ill-temper and mania, he was gonna switch up sooner or later. "weeell you know me, y/n. i am a man of my word. in every gamble, someone is a winner and a loser. but you know-" he let out a brief groan, attempting to stand up but ultimately failing and resorting to staying on the ground. "i can make compromises. i'm very generous when it comes to you, y/n." you saw his eyes get very dark, an iron curtain covering that small, sinister star that spoke more than the entire universe. "since you held up your side of the deal, i'll do you one more: how about i let you choose what you wanna do? you can stay here and defeat this dragon. maybe see your pretty little 'other side,' " he egged on in condescendence.

quackity didn't fully believe that the end did anything. it was just an illusion- a distraction to keep people on their feet. kind of like religion—he wasn't a big religious guy either. his heart solely bet all his money in the pot that this little place settled above all the cubes is just a nuisance. it meant literally nothing. it just happened to be another unique place like the nether but ultimately served no purpose. it was only the people's views of the end that got obscured and perpetuated the idea that the enderdragon was this all-hailing symbol like the idea of big brother. but at the end of the day, it didn't affect people's daily lives unless you let it. it's all a mind trick, something that psychology, subconscious beliefs, and maybe a little tinkle in your stomach would allow. it was something driven by a single cell in the brain.

yeah he wasn't fucking god. he didn't know what the heck was gonna happen after you kill a dragon. he didn't know if the thing would drop exp or anything more. but he truly didn't believe there was any ' other side ' — the name given to another world or another thing that will end the game. "because i'd love to see you defeat this thing. orrr-" quackity emphasized, "you could come home with me. back to the safety and warmth of the dream smp." underneath quackity's tone, you sensed there was more to the second option. you weren't gonna be safe with him. you never were. he was only playing a mind game — and a very obvious one — with you to make you feel like you were safe when in reality you were walking on a tight rope. "and what will you do with me when i get home?" you asked, feeling your body wanting to shiver from the twisted things the casino owner is probably thinking.

quackity smirked at your question. "my god, y/n. i was just closing this bet. but if you wanna play poker, we definitely can." he said in a gentle tone, feeling rather playful with a stupid smile he couldn't wipe off his face when he stared at you. part of you saw yourself in the reflections of stars in his eyes. you could sense he had an admiration for you. a sick admiration for what you offered him. was it going to benefit you? probably not. was it starting to feel warm to you? yes. unfortunately yes. your minded briefly wandered to the call you had with quackity from the smp, and how he didn't keep up his promises. he wasn't here to fight by your side or witness the enderdragon probably for the first or second time in a while. you were forced to be stuck with an agitating replicant. was that all you can satisfy yourself with? a second rate version that was willing to kill you?
