LOCATION
THE DREAM SMP.

AS THE DAYS PASSED BY, you grew more and more tired. all you've been surrounded with was people. people constantly asking for your attention and energy. don't get yourself wrong you loved them dearly and appreciated their care towards you, but it was getting quite exhausting. you needed a day to detox, relax, replenish, and have time for yourself. and what better way to do that than to spend time reading? just like you've always done in your spare time in the smp.

when niki caught wind of your interest in literature, she gave you a small tour of the dream smp and showed you a public library that was near the main paths. it was kind of like the new community hub for everyone settled near las nevadas as it was a waypoint to show you were in neutral territory, and the real community hub was a little ways east. when you walked into the library, the small bell atop the door ringing when you stepped in, you were instantly hit with the light, calming aroma of fresh books, coffee, and a hint of vanilla and cinnamon sugar—a surprising combination. you heard the shuffle of your feet against the floor echo between the crooks of every bookshelf, looking at all the book spines facing you as if they were watching your every move.

the space by the lobby was huge but past that clearly stood bookshelves as tall as the ones in eret's castle, all lining the middle area in rows and against the walls, promptly organized by genre. you let a smile adorn your lips, liking the quiet atmosphere and watching the flickering of candles aside oil paintings decorating empty spaces on bookshelves, fantasy figurines hung up on the ceiling to give a very welcoming, nostalgic, and homey feel. you let yourself get entranced like it was the first time coming into the library with niki, walking along a random row of books and tracing your fingers along the spines, eyes flashing between each title both in english and other languages, and of book textures that ranged from leather to hard matte  covers to flimsy paper covers.

as you navigated within the library, already eyeing the fantasy section, you were surprised to hear your name get called out. "y/n?" you heard a voice whisper yell, making you backtrack from the row you were in and stand in the main area, peering beside the bookshelves to see charlie standing there with an elated expression. he visibly beamed once he saw you, running over to you. "hiii y/n of the smp!" charlie giggled out, obviously ecstatic to see you as his knees were bumping up and down, creating small reverberations in the floors. you smiled back at him. "hey charlie. how are you?" you asked. "i'm great! how about you? how have you been?" he pressed with furrowed brows and an interested head tilt.
