LOCATION
UNKNOWN CUBE.

THE SKY AND THE SUN felt like a much needed warm hug. free falling was now a sensation that you'd never think you'd come to appreciate. first time around, you were embarrassed. now you were practically soaring to the ground like it was a piece of cake. you felt like you were a natural at it. but peace and bliss and euphoria all comes back from a bad time right?

maybe this wasn't the dream you were feeling. the tingling at your skin was no longer the breeze or the flowing and tossing of your clothes as you kept falling straight down. that's when the sun seemed to snap, its light completely disappearing and leaving you to fall in pitch darkness. your senses obviously picked this up, your heart rate catching up and lodging within your throat again. what was that? it looked like the world was a light bulb and it suddenly just went out.

upon glancing at the new light that came on, you squinted to see the walls of the cube displaying screens with the same images: they were all images of you currently free falling, a red target square zooming in your body. that tingling that you felt was actually a very ominous, bad feeling that was now confirmed as you realized you were caught in a trap. your eyes widened with fear. oh shit. you felt yourself instantly being coiled and caught by your ankles and wrists, the "lights" of the world turning on, revealing white dots of spotlights shining brightly on you, displaying your skin texture.

you were lucky that the unseen strings that were currently holding you up stopped your body from being impaled to the horizon and dying of fall damage, your face and body just hovering feet away from the ground. you looked around and flailed frantically, only being blinded by white spotlights. before you knew it, the trap officially displayed itself, an array of gun-like barrels adjusting themselves from the walls and releasing poison arrows while spikes began to rise from the ground. before you could be hit though, the spikes stopped and the silver arrows that sliced through the air aggressively stopped midway, hovering themselves right at the temples of your head.

you quietly hyperventilated, panicking at what was happening. i thought i was dying. is it not my time? you subconsciously questioned, seeing the two silver arrows with deathly sharp tips within your peripheral vision in a seemingly dormant state, pausing in the air like the world stopped working, its metallic gleam shining beneath the light. looking up, there was no sky anymore. just a pitch black ceiling. the whole area now felt off to you, not daring to move from your difficult-to-get-out-of restraints in fear of accidentally hurting yourself.
