LOCATION
THE NETHER.

IT WAS TOO BAD that your beloved friend quackity couldn't be with you to fight in this revolutionary moment. i mean what else are you supposed to do when someone stops answering your phone calls? currently, the syndicate—consisting of your close friends niki, ranboo, techno, phil, and tubbo—along with the additional recruitment of tommy, who volunteered from the smp, were all standing within the center of the nether. no mobs surrounded you but the sound of sizzling lava clasped at your ears and the thick humidity accustomed to piglins resided on the skin.

everyone stared around at the nether's cube walls, awaiting eagerly for the signal. tommy wouldn't stop averting his gaze and pacing around, sometimes picking at his nails. tubbo walked in slow circles around ranboo, staring at the ground and counting from one to ten in quiet murmurs. techno and phil stood to the side, observing the scene. niki stood beside you for support, often times gazing down at her outfit with complementing combat boots, straightening out any wrinkles she spotted on her clothes. your journal resided in your arms, open with a pen in your other hand, writing out some more quick equations and puzzles to get your brain going. after all, you're gonna need all the knowledge you can absorb.

you kept close track of where the cubes surrounding the dream smp have been moving, awaiting for this perfect day to come where the nether will finally shift upwards into the very ceiling of every single cube in existence. you found this out through mathematics and theory of course, and it felt like a once in a life time experience. you still weren't able to calculate timing unfortunately, but with help from your friends, everything was going according to plan. click. everyone suddenly perked up, heads turning every which way. you stayed dead still, feeling the floor beneath you begin moving. you watched the small device you put on the floor budge to the right, identifying a cube shift west. it frequently stopped moving though, signaling that it was the movement of a neighboring cube with the additional distant sounds.

you quickly turned to a page in your journal, looking at the cartesian coordinate plane that laid out a map of the nether and its neighboring cubes' sequences. as you felt the neighboring cube shifting away, you identified it and traced its direction with your pencil, following its movements currently with the ones on the chart. when the shifting was no longer perceptible, everyone turned towards you, staring at you for confirmation. your pencil laid at a corner of a shifting line, awaiting the next movement. it should go north. you mentally reminded, your eyes staring intensely at the lines on the paper. you then paid close attention to the device on the floor, sensing the cube clicking again.
