Lungs burning and leg numbness, two things that you get from being scared shitless and running home from school. A boy, a hot one, Gerard way. The guy who made my heart race faster than sprinting home ever could.
What the fuck am I doing? I roll over. 3am. Shit. Fuck it, I'll never be able to fall asleep with him on my mind, might as well get up four hours before school actually starts. Great.

I think the definition of high school is bullshit. The students, the teachers and pretty much everything that goes on in this building.
Everything except my friends. Brendon and Ryan are by far my best friends, but then there's Patrick, Pete, Lindsey, Alicia. Maybe Gerard will join our group, though I don't wish the bullying upon him.
Math first period. Oh the joy, I'll just end up sleeping through it, just like the rest of the day.
The last bell rang and I ran out. I hope to god Alex doesn't see me and I don't see Gerard. Well actually I would love to see him. Im just so fucking awkward I hate talking to people unless I'm comfortable with them.
"Heeeeeeyyy Faggot!" Oh fuck. Alex. "Faggot, you deaf? It's kind of rude to ignore someone don't Ya think?" Shove. Stomach punch. Jaw punch. Nose punch. Kick. Kick. Kick. Black.
Though I only blacked out for a couple minutes, it scared Alex enough to walk away. The rest of the hallway was empty, except for a few. Not even a fucking teacher helped me. "Frank?" I hear from behind me. "Frank, are you alright, you're bleeding!" Gerard "I'm I'm Uh fine I think Uh thanks though" I stammered out, turning around quickly trying to avoid another awkward conversation.
"Are you sure? Do you want to talk about it? We can go get some coffee if you'd like." Is this real life? "Sure why not?" He smiled but I was legitimately metaphorically shitting myself.
Conversation at the coffee shop flowed easier than before.
"Who did this to you" Gerard asked, sounding upset. God he was beautiful when he talked. For fucks sake Frank, focus. "That bitch Andy, who's picked on me since day one at this stupid school." He sat there for a minute thinking, then he asked me "Why does he do this to you?" He has a look in his eyes, though I can't quite pick out what he's thinking, I choked out "I'm not like them and they feel like it's alright to pick on someone who's a little different from them."
We drank our coffees and talked about school. "So where did you come from?" I asked him. "Only an hour away from here, Dad got a new job so we moved closer." Oh, I thought, so maybe he's going to stay.
After finishing our coffees he insisted on walking me home, though I don't know why anyone would want to hang around with me.
"Where do you live, Frank?" Fuck, the way he says my name. "This house right up here, number 40." I pointed to the blue one with the white door, the house I moved into three years ago. "Oh wow, I didn't know we lived so close! I live just down the street in the yellow house, number 52."
We got to the door and Gerard started speaking again. "Since we live so close to each other maybe we could hang out this weekend? Sunday maybe?" It's Thursday I thought but that's so close yet so far away. "Yeah sure, we can meet here and go to the park. Does 2 sound good?" I said, hopefully not sounding too eager. "Sounds good." He said with a smile.
We said our goodbyes and I walked inside. Was this a date? Does he like me? Shut up Frank he's probably straight. Oh yeah with that hair right. I laughed to myself. Maybe, just maybe he likes me. I'll have to wait until Sunday to find out.
