Chapter-3

Naina's POV:

I'm dead, I feel like floating. No wait! my head is pounding, is it normal to feel pain after death? But, death is supposed to bring peace. I have always imagined that after death ,it would be a serene experience, not a pounding headache and body ache. I'm feeling like hell. It means I am not dead. I try to open my eyes, but my eyelids are feeling like lead. With a little more struggle, I was finally able to open my eyes to a blinding light. Ahh! My headache just got even worse. who the hell left the blinds open? After my eyes got adjusted to the light, I find my self in an unfamiliar room. The room was simple and elegant, the walls were of aqua color, there was a dressing table at the corner of the room, there were two doors attached which I'm guessing that one leads to bathroom and another to a walk in closet. I was on a queen size bed with purple color sheets and pillows. But, how did I get here? Last thing I remember was getting chased by giant wolves, me tumbling down the ground, seeing a handsome man and fading into darkness.

The door to the room opened and a man entered and let me tell you he is hot! He saw me awake and started coming towards me. My common sense kicked in and I started screaming bloody murder. He saw me freaking out and tried to reach out for me.

John's POV:

I'm very happy that my best friend has finally met his mate. I remember when I met my mate Sophia, my Sophie. I was elated to meet her. We both mated by the same evening. You see, we wolves were told from our childhood about the importance of mates. So, it was not a surprise when I found my mate on my 24th birthday. She is the daughter of the Beta of our neighbouring pack. She came to attend my birthday party where we met and bam! I felt like the most luckiest person in the world. But unfortunately my friend Xandy is not so lucky as his mate is a human. He has to go a long way to convince his mate about his life.

After bringing his mate to the pack house, Xandy took the two rouges to the council for investigation along with our gamma Andrew. He wanted to stay with his mate but being an Alpha, it was his responsibility to keep the pack protected. He gave me the duty to look after his mate until he returned. So, here I was guarding outside the room where our luna is sleeping.

I heard groaning and went into the room. I saw her awake. I tried to approach her but she started screaming. I tried to control her but she kicked me in the shin and held me in a headlock. I tried to convince her that I meant no harm. " Luna, please leave me, I'm not here to harm you". "yeah right! As if I am gonna believe you, Tell me where the hell I am? who are you? why did you held me captive? And who is this damn luna?" I mindlinked my mate, "sophie, please come to Alpha's room, the luna is freaking out, I am held in a headlock and I don't think she is gonna listen to me. please hurry up." The luna started pressing harder and let me tell you it is very painful. I tried to make to the situation lighter by joking " As far as I see, I'm the one who is held captive in a headlock". She realised that she was strangling me and released me. I thought that she is calm now, so I extended my hand to introduce myself. But boy! I was wrong, as soon as she saw me extending my hand, she shot an upper cut to my jaw which was freaking painful. Before she could do some other damage, my sweet mate entered the room, On seeing my mate, luna relaxed a bit.

"Hi I am sophie. This idiot here is my boyfriend John. I know you must be confused by the all new faces and location but please calm down so we can explain you everything." On hearing her words, luna started relaxing and went to sit on the bed but not before throwing me a warning look which clearly states that 'stay away from me'. I lifted both my hands and started to back away slowly. Once she was settled on the bed, my mate handed her a glass of water. Luna eyed it skeptically, but eventually took the glass and drank the water. Then, my mate started talking. "Hi, thanks for listening. As I told already, I'm Sophie, he is my boyfriend John. After you fainted, my friend Xander brought you here. you were unconscious for almost half a day. Xander went to attend an emergency meeting, so he left this idiot to look after you. I know you have many questions, so shoot, but first please tell me your name." Luna visibly relaxed and started talking. "Hi, I am Naina, thank you for saving me and sorry for freaking out, I was confused. So, where exactly am I now?" "You are in a place called shining moon valley. This building is called the Shining moon Villa. This is like a community house where most of the residents stay." " Oh! I never heard of this place but it might be because I am new to the city. I'll ask the other questions when your friend returns. But, tell me something, why did your boyfriend called me luna?" On hearing this my mate gave me a look which told me I'm in a deep trouble.
