Chapter-35

Naina's POV:

"You called me Alpha!" Violet asked straightening herself. Her face was showing different emotions but in a quick moment, her expression got flirty. Andrew held John's hand to control him from lashing out. "Yes Violet, please come in" my mate said in an unusual calm and cold voice. He held a blank stare as she was approaching. I am impressed that he is good at controlling the emotions, if it were me, I would have beaten her by now for information. Even though we were all here, Violet started eyeing my mate like a hungry pig. My fists clenched at my side seeing her staring at my mate openly and shamelessly. Xandy started rubbing circles with his thumb at the back of my hand. "I was informed that you were the one who cooked our dinner yesterday", my Xandy said calmly. As soon as she heard this, she went rigid but only for a moment, which didn't go unnoticed by any of us.  "Oh yes Alpha, I cooked the dinner yesterday. Did you like it?" she asked slowly. "Liked it, I loved it. It was delicious. I didn't know you could cook that good. I am impressed!" he said with an even glint in his eyes which was damn scary. She didn't seem to notice that and answered in chirped voice "Thankyou Alpha. If you want, I could prepare your meals daily, and of course, that is not only the thing I am good at. I am talented in many more ways", she said suggestively. Ana scoffed loudly at her suggestion for which she earned a glare  from Violet. 

Xandy smiled smugly and said "oh I just wanted to ask your secret ingredient" he said to which Violet went rigid at once. "Secret ingredient?" she asked stuttering. "Yes secret ingredient, I am sure it was not wolfsbane or vervain, for it would not have such mild effects. So what could it be?" he hummed to himself with a finger on his chin pretending to think. "What do you think Ana?" my mate asked my bestie. "Oh let me think, it didn't harm any of you, so we can rule out both Wolfsbane and Vervain. For making you sleep until morning, it must be a strong sedative. But it can't be a chemical for which you guys could have easily smelt it. So it's something natural but a strong herb", she thought to herself. She suddenly snapped her fingers and said "Oh, I get it, it is Valerian root. It has to be it. Isn't it?" she asked Violet with a glee in her eye. Violet was shaking by the time. She turned around to escape but John caught her and lifted her into the air holding her neck. She started choking and sputtering. "Where the hell is my family?" he asked in a low guttural voice. I understood that it was his wolf talking. Violet's face started turning purple. Just as we thought she wouldn't say anything, she started mumbling something. Andrew put a hand on John's shoulder to which he suddenly dropped violet. "Start talking!" Vincent demanded. She took deep breaths and started talking in a cracked voice when John let out another growl. 

"I have helped the rogues to kidnap your mate and sister. It  was never my intention to kidnap the girl Emily. She was just in the wrong place in the wrong time", she answered without even batting an eyelash. "But why?" I whispered confused by her betrayal. She glared at me. "Because of you, you are the reason I did all this. I was sure that I would be the luna of this pack. But you suddenly appeared. A weak pathetic human who thought she can lead a pack of strong wolves. You took away my chance of being a luna, you bitch. I rejected my mate to come closer to Xander, that is how much I want him. The rogues promised me that if I would help them in getting a female warrior and a pregnant wolf, they would get rid of you and I could be the luna of the pack as it should be. We deserve a strong luna, not a weak little bitc.." before she could finish her sentence, Xander threw her to the opposite side of the room. I winced when her spine cracked. He was fuming. "How dare you?" he bellowed. Everyone except me and Vincent bowed their heads in submission by the power he is emitting. "I am gonna kill you, you whore. How did you even get the idea you would be the Luna of the pack? Even if I hadn't met my angel. I would have never chosen a women like you to be the leader of my pack. And you dare insult my angel infront of me, you imbecile!" he took a step towards her. I held his arm to calm him down knowing that killing her would not get us anywhere. As soon as I hugged him, he relaxed a little. He hugged me back and started sniffing my neck. I let him to assure his wolf that I was not in any danger. I looked at Vincent and he nodded.

Vincent goes to her quivering form and kneels down before her. He started compelling her. "Now tell me, where did the rogues take the Beta female along with the others? What do you know about there whereabouts?" His voice was an octave deeper. She was in trance and started answering in a dazed manner. " There is an underground tunnel not far from the house you saw this morning. After you follow the tunnel, it opens to an open field. Head north for ten minutes, you will be able to spot the noises clearly." "Do they have any security measures?" Vincent asked her. "Yes, there are guards who camouflage themselves in the trees ten meters radius to their base camp". As soon as Vincent stood up, she came out of her daze. She was confused of what happened to her. "Take her to the dungeons and keep her in an isolated prison" Xandy ordered the head warrior who was standing outside the office. He nodded and took her to the prison with her screaming incoherent words.
