Xander's POV:

The thought of my angel going to the hunter didn't settle well with me. But I know she is right. As the Luna of the pack, her instincts will drive her to do anything to ensure the safety of the pack. I could not hold her back for my selfish reasons. She has to take charge as the Luna of the pack. I am proud of her, but at the same time I was terrified for her. I can't bear if she gets hurt. So I keep a condition. "Fine I will let you go, but I have a condition", I stated. To which she eyed me curiously. "And what would that be?" she asked tilting her head. "You will go but Ana has to place a scent concealing and tracking spell on you", I told her. "What is that?" she asked with confusion etched on her face. Ana answered the question for me. "These spells would conceal your scent so that if ay rogues are present there, they will only smell a human and also allow us to keep track of your location. It is actually a good idea. I would do that. Also we have to cover the mark on your neck. It can give away your identity", she states. The thought of my angel hiding my mark in front of other wolves is unsettling for me, but Ana is right. If there are any rogues present, the mark will give away her secret that she knows about us which can be dangerous for her. So I reluctantly nod my head and we all agree to start the planning tomorrow. With that said, I dismiss everyone. Vincent and Ana are also given a guest room in the pack house. The pack has been informed about their stay with us for few days so that they will not be attacked.

Vincent promised me he would not feed on the pack grounds. John assured him that blood will be arranged for him which will be sufficient for a few days. After they all go, I lift my angel into my arms. I carry her to our house. Today was a hectic day. So many things happened today. It was very stressful specially to my angel. I wanted her to relax a bit. We entered our house and I went for a shower. After I got out, I told her to shower. While she was in the shower, I prepared a simple dinner. We both ate silently. I silently carried her to the bed. Seeing her struggling to keep her eyes open, I took her into my arms, kissed her forehead and told her to sleep. She snuggled closer to me and as soon as she closed her eyes, she drifted to sleep muttering a "I love you" slowly. I kissed her forehead again and snuggled even closer to her so that I was spooning her. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep satisfied that my mate is safe with me.

We woke up in the morning, did our morning routine, had breakfast and went to my office. All of us gathered to discuss our plans. The plan was discussed, flaws were corrected. We even had a back up plan if things did not work out in the way they were planned. We all decide that we should start training from that day itself. So here we were standing in blazing sun, in the training field to start our training. I paired up with Vincent, Char with Andrew, John with our head warrior and my angel with Ana. Sophie was not happy that she was not allowed to train with us. John refused her to train saying that it might be dangerous for the baby. My angel sensing her distress asked Sophie to guide her in the fight. So there she was sitting in front of Ana and my angel examining their moves and correcting them if needed. Today is only about sparring. There were no weapons and no shifting. This was just to test the muscle strength. At the end of the training, the duos were asked to do a sparring match. Me and Vincent were in a tie, John defeated our head warrior, Char beat Andrew which was expected because she had Beta blood. What I was not expecting is my angel defeating Ana. All the super naturals had more strength than humans, so I was surprised when she defeated Ana. Of course, she had her fill of hits. Her cheek was bruised, Eye swollen and sweat dripping from her face. But she held her ground and pinned Ana down not backing down until Ana submitted herself. I was so proud of her. The next few days continued like this. My angel also started practicing with weapons. So far, she became an expert at throwing daggers and archery. She still has to practice shooting but I am sure that she can do it. Meanwhile she is also getting stronger with her muscle mass increasing. Also my mark is helping her to heal rapidly, not as fast as wolves but faster than normal human beings.

We all kept another fighting match at the end of the week but we paired with different persons. Me with John, Vincent with Char, Ana with our head warrior and my angel with Andrew. The winners were me, Vincent, Our head warrior and my angel. The winners again paired among themselves and paired while the others did the same. This time my angel defeated our head warrior even in his wolf form and Vincent and I both were in a tie. Sophie suggested that my angel should fight against Vincent. I was reluctant at first but after some coaxing from my fellows, I agreed. My mark gives my angel extra strength, her senses are enhanced, but even for us it was difficult to defeat a vampire. So I was shocked to see that my angel was able to pin Vincent down with a lot of struggle and the great thing was Vincent wasn't even holding back. When she was satisfied that she got him, she loosened her grip on his neck which was a mistake and in a second Vincent flipped them and pinned her down. She tried to switch positions but was unable to do that. So she huffed and accepted her defeat. But I was very proud of her. She managed to pin down the vampire king herself without using any weapons. Everyone congratulated both of them. Even Vincent told her if it was not her lack of concentration, he would have surely lost. We went to our home that night and I showed her again and again how much I love her.
