Naina's POV:
As I was going through the files, I saw a picture of a girl not more than 19 years. I was stunned to see her. I last saw her when I was in my camp. But the girl I saw looked different to the girl in the photo. As I was reminiscing the memory, Xandy asked me what's the matter. I slowly looked up noticing that both John and Xander were looking at me warily. I turned the file towards them and told them anxiously "I saw this girl". Sensing my anxiety, Xander came to me and lifted me into his lap sitting on his chair. I relaxed slightly in his comfortable embrace. Andrew came in at the same time. John must have mind linked him to come. They both took their seats before us. Xandy asked slowly "Angel, where did you see the girl before mi Amor?" I took a deep breath and started telling about the incident that took place in the camp.
Flashback:
I was walking through the woods which surrounded the camp. It has been a week since the camp started. Everyone was new to me, so I just came out for a stroll to clear my mind. It was early morning and the forest was silent. The weather was pleasant too. As I walking, I stumbled upon an old building. It was creepy and I got an uneasy feeling just by looking at it. But due to my curiosity, I decided I would go in. Before I could even step inside, I was yanked back roughly by a huge bulky man. I hissed and snatched my wrist back. "What the hell?" I shouted at him. He looked at me with somewhat hate and disgust. "Where do you think you are going?" he literally spat out the words. Shocked by his tone, I responded "None of your business, Mr. Grumpy pants". I think I hurt his ego because he threw a punch at me. "Not so fast" I said blocking his punch. He became enraged and before he could throw another punch, a voice interrupted us "what the hell is going on here?" We both turn towards the voice and I was surprised to see my camp instructor aka my professor standing there looking bewildered. "She is trying to trespass my property", the bulky man said. I was furious. "Hello! I can't see any board here indicating it is your property or rather a private property for that matter", I bellowed at him. "Enough, go inside", my professor ordered the bulky man. He silently complied. My professor turned to me and shook his head. "You are lucky, I came just in time. He is my friend and this is his property. He is not the most patient person to play with so I suggest you Naina to stay away from him ad this place as far as possible". I went to retort but something about his tone warned me not question him. He sighed, "come, I'll drop you off at the camp", he took me to his car. I silently slid into the passenger seat. he was starting the engine, that is when my eyes locked with a girl who is seeing through the window. I was about to ask my professor about the girl but held my tongue not wanting to anger him further.
Present:
By the time I finished telling them my memory, they were in deep thought. Andrew was first to break the silence. "So luna, you are telling us that your so called professor is some how involved in all these kidnappings?" he asked to which I just gave a blank stare. All of them were looking at me skeptically. I couldn't understand first what they were implying. But I realised soon. I suddenly got up from Xander's lap "you all are thinking that I am somehow involved in all these, aren't you?" I asked them accusingly. When they didn't answer, tears pricked in my eyes. This got them out of their trance. Xander said hurriedly "No angel, we are not saying that", he started explaining trying to soothe me in his embrace. But I stepped away from him. Andrew and John went to say something but I cannot listen to their explanations right now. I ran out the room tears streaming down my face. I locked myself in my old room and started crying. How can they even think like that. How can they think that I can be involved in something cruel like this. And what hurt the most is that Xander also didn't try to defy them and he believed them too. He also thought I am involved in these kidnappings. I scoffed, some trust he had in me.
I am devasted. I decided I couldn't stay here. I need to get out of here for sometime to clear my mind. With that thought, I started packing my clothes in the duffel bag. I wrote a letter about the location of that cabin and left it on the bed. I went to Sophie and explained her the situation. She didn't try to stop me from leaving once I told her how much I am hurting. She nodded her head in understanding. She ordered one of the guards to escort me safely to my uncle's home in the city. I promised her that I would return once I clear my head. She told me she will try and stop Xander from coming after me. She bid me farewell but not before making me promise to keep her updated about my safety. I hugged her one last time and started my way back to the city.
