Chapter-33

Naina's POV:

While I was sitting in Ana's room, explaining them about how it was difficult for Xandy also to wake up this morning, I suddenly felt felt a rush of panic and rage through our bond. I knew something happened then and I ran downstairs where crashing sounds were heard. When I reached there, I was shocked to see John flipping the couch. Both Xander and Andrew were standing aside looking him with pained and angry expressions. I sensed Vincent and Ana behind me. "What the hell is happening here?" I shouted when John crashed the television to the ground. When John turned around, I was shocked to see black irises meaning his wolf was in control. They were looking at me with a pained expression. I sent calming waves towards him and he visibly relaxed but suddenly started sobbing loudly kneeling on the ground. My heart throbbed painfully for I have never seen John in such agony. I went and hugged him lightly. "What happened John, you can talk to me brother" I said calmly to him. He started saying something but I didn't quite understand with him crying. I let him cry on my shoulder and we stayed in that position. After some time his cries died down and he was hiccupping slowly. "now tell me John, what happened?" I asked him whispering into his ear while comforting him. He answered with a hoarse voice "Sophie and Char are missing luna, those bastards took my sister along with my pregnant mate". My heart stopped for a moment. No, no this can't be happening. How could they kidnap someone from the pack and no one knows about it yet. "Have you tried linking them?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Yes luna, I have been linking them for a long time but to no avail. Something is blocking the link". I was about to say something, while Victoria, the pack doctor came running. She was panting standing there with a dreaded expression. "What's wrong?, why are you here and why do you look so pale?" Andrew asked her. Being a doctor, Victoria was very calm every time and I have never seen her this riled up before. Although her mate died, she took the heart break like a pro and dedicated her life to her daughter Emily and her career. Now seeing her like this, I am getting a dreaded feeling in my stomach. "Please tell me Emily is here" she said panicking. "No Emily is not here" Xandy answered her. She started bawling her eyes out. I went to hug her. "Shh, Victoria, just calm down and tell me what happened. When did you last see her?" I asked her gently sending soothing waves towards her. She answered sniffling, "yesterday, as there were many victims of wolfsbane admitted at once, I became very busy. I took Emily to the hospital with me because I knew I had to stay overnight and watch my patients. Emily was getting tired so Char volunteered to look after her throughout the night to which I agreed happily as I had so much work. Char took Emily to John's room where Sophie was also sitting. So I went and did my duties. When my work completed this morning, I went to John's room to find it empty. I  found out he got discharged and went away. I didn't want to disturb you guys, so I mind linked Emily to come and meet me at the hospital. But the mind link was blocked. I panicked because I never taught her how to block her mind. I mind linked Sophie and Char to feel the same block around their minds. So I ran here myself to find out what is wrong. Where are they? Please tell me everything is okay and they just did it to scare me. Please tell me this is all a joke" she said sobbing on my shoulder. 

I heart clenched looking my pack member in despair. Xandy came to us, kneeled down before vic, took her hands and started explaining. " I am sorry vic, Sophie and Char were kidnapped and it seems that they also took Emily with them. But I promise you nothing would happened to her. I will find out where they are bring her back to you safely. Please trust me." Victoria just nodded her head silently agreeing with him. "I trust you Alpha and I know you would keep your word. I will go to the hospital and continue working for now" she said standing up. I scowled "But Victoria, you have worked all night, you must be tired now. Are you sure you wanna go back to work in this condition?" "Of course Luna, I will be able to work longer and it will also help me kept distracted. I trust you both and I know you would never let anything happen to us" she said with a sad smile. I was going to object but Xandy stopped me. She bowed to us and just left. John was silent but I could see the pain an anger in his eyes. "Let's all go to the office, we have things to discuss and people to save" Xandy said to everyone. We all went to the office thinking how this all happened.
