Yo paused for a moment in the hallway outside Love's nursery, rubbing his fists into the small of his back to help alleviate the ache. Being four months pregnant with twins was almost twice as painful as when he'd been carrying Love. Opening the door, he was confused about why Pha was making such faces while changing Love's diaper.

"Something wrong?" Yo asked as he eased himself into the rocking chair before Pha could see the discomfort on his face.

Pha made a funny noise, a mix between disgusted and resigned. "Is changing Love's diaper always like this?"

Yo was more confused now. "What are you talking about?? You've changed her diaper before."

"Yeah, but I only got wet diapers."

Oh... Yo giggled softly in understanding. "I know, it's pretty gross."

"It's not just gross, it's green!" Pha made an exaggerated funny face, getting Yo to laugh. "Lumpy and green! Yuck!"

"Just think of it as smelly guacamole," Yo suggested.

The revolted expression and tone had Yo cackling loudly when Pha said, "Great. Thanks a lot, Yo. I'll never be able to eat guacamole again."

"Do you want me to finish changing her?"

"Nah, I've got it.

"Sure? I have no problem changing Love. I'm used to it by now. That and," Yo leaned back in the rocking chair. "We'll have two more little ones to change in about five months." He snorted, and told Pha, "And they will have similar messy diapers, P'Pha. Because they're gonna be breastfed as well."

"...duly noted."

Yo rocked in the chair slowly, a pleasant calm falling over him as he watched Pha finish changing Love and redressed her, talking to her in a baby voice. She squealed loudly and waved her hands around, grabbing at Pha's hands. The young mother smiled. He loved how far he and Pha had come, having their own little family, their wedding coming up that summer, and living in their own place. It was nice.

He hadn't realized it before, but the whole friend group had grown up a lot in the past year and a half. Yo mused to himself that having children would do that to a person. Well...Beam was basically the same. And the others save Ming and Kit weren't having kids, but that would likely come after university.

The doorbell ringing caught Yo's attention. "I'll get it," he waved a hand at Pha, rocking forwards and tipping himself enough to stand up from the rocking chair before barely waddling towards the door. "Hey, Ming."

Ming's eyes scanned Yo. "Did you forget we were doing a playdate today?"

Kit stood slightly behind him, holding one of the twins while Ming held the other. Kit was busy rocking his son, murmuring soft words to him. Apparently, baby Mick was being fussy today.

Yo leaned his head against the door, eyes half-closed. "I did until I saw you. Come on in," he stepped back to let the little family in. "P'Pha's got Love right now."

Ming observed Yo as his cousin walked down the hallway to the nursery. "He's waddling already."

"Hm?" Kit lifted his head. He'd been too preoccupied with Mick that he hadn't noticed anything different about Yo. "Waddling? Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Must be the double weight of the twins." Ming felt a little bad about it, even though it wasn't his fault Yo was having twins this time around. After all, Yo had no magical abilities that he was able to make a man have babies, so Ming wasn't able to turn one baby into two.
