Yo slowly blinked, not sure if he was really seeing the two boys kneeling before him, asking for his help. "She's your girlfriend. You should know her better than anybody."

Sing gave him a pleading look. "Please help us out?? We had an awesome Valentine's Day, but now we're out of ideas for her birthday."

Yo exchanged a bemused glance with Pha. And they thought he would have the answer?? He wasn't some kind of magician that could pull ideas out of thin air.

Aish...

"What exactly did you do for Valentine's Day?" Yo questioned so he could get an idea of what to plan.

They didn't meet his gaze, their faces slowly turning red.

"Ah," Yo smirked along with Pha. "I see. That seems to be the popular option for a celebration. Are you sure you can't do something similar for her birthday?"

"No. I don't think she's as into intimacy like that as we are," Zee shook his head, a thoughtful frown on his face.

"Oh? What makes you think that? Did she say something?"

The boys exchanged a look, then Sing quietly explained, "It was more...her body language, I guess? She didn't act as into it, but she really enjoyed just sitting back and watching us. That was the biggest clue."

Yo nodded. Here was an opportunity to tease them, but he wasn't going to be mean. Not yet, haha. "Okay. So..." he tilted his head from side to side as he thought. "Isn't the Communication Arts Faculty putting on a play tonight? Maybe you could take her to that."

"Yo, that play has been sold out for a couple weeks." Sing gave him an odd look.

"So?" Yo's sly smile put them on edge...until he slowly withdrew a handful of tickets from his pants pocket. "I bought a bunch of them hoping the group could go. We'll sit somewhere different from you guys so we don't ruin your birthday date with N'Namtan."

Zee's eyes zeroed in on the tickets, eyes intent. "You sure you wouldn't mind giving us some tickets? We can pay-"

Yo gave a sharp shake of his head, cutting Zee off. "Nonsense. I have more money than I know what to do with. What better ways to spend it than on my family?" He cocked his head to the side and smiled.

Sing felt like he didn't know what to do with himself. His biological family consisted of only himself and his aunt. Everyone else was distantly related, or dead, and the distant relations lived far away that he didn't really know them all that well. "Yo...really, you don't have to."

"Sing," Yo leaned over the canteen table, grasping Sing's hand, and gave him a warm look. "Didn't you guys know already? I consider you both my brothers. I'm happy to help you with your girlfriend's birthday in any way that I can."

Sing swallowed hard a few times, barely managing to keep back the tears that threatened to fall. "I-I don't know what to say..."

"How about, 'Thank you, Yo. We'll use the tickets'," Yo teasingly suggested. His eyes sparkled merrily.
