(Doctor Zimmer is seem talking to a courser named X9-27)
X9: Zero has failed to eliminate the railroad. He has not been seen since. We have reason to believe he may be captured
Zimmer: I suppose I should have seen this coming sooner or later. Such a disappointment. Give me the full report
(X9-27 gives Zimmer a holotape labeled "report")
X9: What's left of the railroad seems to have relocated to the fort independence. Or what the minutemen call the castle. It is close to the airport, where the brotherhood of steel are occupied. What is our next move, sir?
Zimmer: Actually, this may be a blessing in disguise. There is obviously one enormous threat the institute faces. The brotherhood of steel
X9: There is always a threat with major groups in the commonwealth, Doctor
Zimmer: Of course, but this threat is unlike any other. The brotherhood covets technology and has made it very clear that we cannot peacefully co-exist. They will come for us eventually. And if we do not act now, then they will destroy what we have spent so long creating. We must destroy them before they can destroy us
X9: You want to destroy the brotherhood of steel?
Zimmer: Is there a problem?
X9: No sir. I'm merely taking into account their sheer numbers, firepower, and defensible position
Zimmer: The threat of the brotherhood of steel goes beyond the edges of the commonwealth. It is not enough to destroy them here. There are more of them out in the world. And they too will come for us eventually. We need to prevent it from happening in the first place
X9: And how do you propose we do that?
Zimmer: We will show them that if they interfere with us, the very technology they value so highly will be turned against them. And we will show them that we can appear at a moment's notice anywhere we please. And they cannot ever stop us. Those who survive will know better than to ever interfere with us again
X9: What is your plan, Doctor?
Zimmer: See Doctor Watson for details in advanced systems. With Madison Li gone, he's the director. Tell them "it's time". They'll know what it means. Succeed where Zero has failed
X9: Very well, sir
(X9-27 walks to advanced systems and finds Doctor Evan Watson)
Evan: Do you need something?
X9: It is time. Director's orders
Evan: It was bound to happen eventually. I suppose we should get to work. Everyone! It's time!
Scientists: (Cheering)
Rosiland: Right now? I'm still working on that code robotics sent over. The algorithm is a mess. It's nowhere near peak efficiency
Evan: I know, but whatever you've got will have to do. We need to move quickly on this. X9, Doctor Rosiland Orman has done most of the hands on work. I'll let her explain the basics to you
Rosiland: Is this exciting or is it just me? Ok, so you already know the brotherhood's main base in the commonwealth is the airport, right?
X9: Yes, I am aware
Rosiland: Good. If they were a little less intelligent, we wouldn't even be talking about this. We'd just storm them with synths
X9: What is the issue, Doctor Orman?
