Riley's POV 

Last night felt like a dream, it felt so strange to know that we were back together again, I look beside me to see James still asleep
I know what you are thinking, You guys legit just got back together and he already stayed over? I don't have an explanation behind it, it was getting late and my place is closer to work then his
"Morning" James said groggily as his arms snaked around my waist pulling me closer
"Good morning" I replied making James open one eye before closing it again and planting a soft kiss on my lips
"if we don't get up now, we'll both be late" I whispered to him placing my hands in his hair
"I don't wannaaa" he whined, I chuckled
"come on" I replied throwing the duvet off of both of us, James groaned rolling over as I got out of bed
"I'm leaving in 10 minutes, if you aren't ready I'm leaving without you" I chuckled leaving the room

Sure enough the pair of us were stood hand in hand in the corridor separating The Next Step and Lost & Found
"See you later?" I asked and James smiled pressing his lips against mine smiling
"See you later" he replied before we both went separate ways
I could get used to this, I wouldn't mind doing that every morning
"Riley!" Miss Kate called as I walked in, I looked out to see Studio A had been cleaned up and then I turned to Miss Kate
"Hey" I smiled
"helloooo" She said as I took a seat
"So we have someone new joining the staff" Miss Kate said making my furrow my eyebrows
"His name is George McBryant" Miss Kate said making my eyes widen, I looked at the doorway and sure enough, there George stood
"Riley?" George asked
"hey George" I replied. Can things not stay simple 

James' POV

"So how did it go!" John asked shaking my shoulders as I went to meet then in the green room
"It went perfectly! Thanks guys" I said smiling at the boys
Truth be told, I had no idea that it was the boys and Michelle who set it up. Part of me wishes I could take some sort of credit for it
"What went well?" Marie asked walking into the room making me instantly groan
"James' date with Riley" Theo said, he was not standing for no crap.
"You er went on a date with her?" She asked looking at me and I nodded drinking my coffee
"We got back together and everything" I replied looking her dead in the eye
"You what?!" Luke chimed now shaking my shoulders
"Yeah" I laughed moving to sit with Theo and John on the sofa
"Does this mean you forgive Michelle about the whole pretty boy thing" John laughed and I shrugged. I'm grateful for Michelle but come on man don't threaten the face
"Let's get this practice started then" Theo said taking my drumsticks off the table and tapping them together
Marie's gaze was still on me and every move I made as I walked out with the boys
There was never anything there for me when it came to her but I can't help but feel like I've hurt her a little bit. I'm not regretting what I did but I also can't help but feel like a dick

"Hey look Jamesss your girlfriend is here" Theo teased making a kissy face at me, I rolled my eyes looking past him to see Riley walking around the BullPen with Mr T. The boys and I were in the Rose Room so we had a pretty good view
As soon as I went to jump off the stage to go see her a guy came up next to her. One I hadn't ever seen before. His hand pressed against Riley's back
I narrowed my eyes before looking back at the boys
Riley's whole body shifted at the touch, it was evident she did not want that
"Riley!" I said making all three of them turn around, Riley smiled as soon as she saw me as did Mr T
"Hey boys" Riley said walking over pressing her lips against my cheek
"Thankyou" she whispered before we all walked back to the pair 
"Boys this is George. He started working at The Next Step this morning. George this is James, Luke, Theo and John" Mr T said
"Nice to meet you all" George said nodding in our direction
"i'm afraid you'll see a lot of them" Mr T teased, George looked around us all a little confused
"They are working on the next album while James still works here" Mr T explained
"And they are usually somewhere in the building" Riley said
"James spends most of his time in Riley's Corner" Mr T continued to tease
"Duet partners?" George asked and both Riley and I nodded
"He's that James is he Riley?" George asked, I looked at riley a little confused
"Yes" Was all she replied before snapping out of her gaze taking hold of my hand
"Mr T, mind if I borrow James for a little bit?" Riley asked politely 
"Hey he's all yours, he finished work hours ago" Mr T said before walking away, I glanced back at George before looking at Riley
Something was up and that was obvious
"I'll see you boys in a bit?" I asked the boys who all nodded as Riley and I walked away, I placed my arm around her waist as we walked and I couldn't help but look back at George to see where his gaze was and you best believe I did not like where it was..
