James' POV

I walked up the stairs to out flat again after finally getting the final piece to the puzzle, I smiled to myself to see the note that I left Riley was no longer on the door
Riley was home
As I walked inside, I saw her bag and keys in the kitchen but everything else looked untouched
"Ri?" I called putting my keys away looking though the flat
"Riley?!" I continued to call but nothing, I had searched the entire flat at this point
She wasn't in the bedroom
She wasn't in the bathroom
She wasn't in the living room 
and she wasn't on the balcony

Before I could even call her someone started hammering at the door, I groaned in annoyance before opening it only for 4 men to come rushing in one grabbing me instantly pushing me against a wall
"Clear!" one calls
"Clear" Another calls
"What the hell is going on!" I yelled to the man holding me
"There isn't a girl here" The final man yells, I look at them all confused that when I realise they are all wearing police uniform
"What girl?!" I asked
"Where is she" The officer who had a hold of me yelled at me pushing me further against the wall
"What are you talking about!" I yelled back at him

"Officers" Maggie our next door neighbour said looking into the flat
"Maggie, will you please tell me what's going on" I begged, she looked at me with a terrified look on her face
"Oh my stars let him go" Maggie said coming over to me
"Sorry Ma'am we can't do that. We called a call about a woman being forced out of this place" the officer explained
"I'm aware. I made that call and this was not the boy with her" She said, the officer looked at me narrowing his eyes at me before finally letting me go
"Mag what's going on" I begged her
"Riley came home about 20 minutes ago but wasn't home for long! There was some blonde boy with her who was dragging her out of the building screaming. I swear I saw him hit her at one point too James" She explained and my expression straight to worry
"Please tell me this isn't happening" I begged grabbing my phone out of my pocket

"Ma'am could we get a description of the male please" an officer asked
"Mag, is this him?" I asked showing her a picture from Riley's Instagram
"Yeah! That's the boy!" Maggie exclaimed, all the officers looked at me
"That's her Ex-Fiancé, she has a restraining order against him. He isn't meant to have any contact with him at all" I warned them all
"Do you have a copy of the order?" One of them asked and I nodded heading to the cupboard Riley keeps all important documents
Sure enough there it was

I handed it to the officer who took one look at it and widened his eyes
"I'll call it in" He said going off into a corner thinking we wouldn't be able to hear him
"We've got a code 207 with a background of code 15. Victim name is Riley Marie Raymond, Suspects name is Lucas Jacob Daniels" The officer said
"James is she going to be okay?" Maggie asked, I looked at her trying not to let tears fall
"I have no idea" I said as she pulled me into a hug

"James!" I hear a voice say from the door, I turned my head to see Michelle, Eldon, West and the band stood there. 
As soon as I saw them they all came in Michelle rushing to hug me
"What is going on?" Eldon asked, I had text them all to come over but I never told them why
"Riley is Missing. Lucas came to the flat while I was picking up the last surprise. When Ri got back he was fucking sat here waiting!" I said kicking the sofa in front of me
"Sir?" An officer said coming over to me
"Please tell us it's good news" I warned him, I couldn't take anything more
"We've seen her on some city camera's" He said making me soften my expression slightly
"However, he forced her onto a train to New York. And seems to be armed" He stated and my eyes widened again
"Could you tell us why they would be heading to New York?" He asked, I sighed 
"I don't know but that's where they met, it's where Lucas lives" I replied and he nodded
"We are going to inform New York police to be on the look out too. We aren't going to stop looking for her" He said 
All I was doing was trying to apologise to Riley
I should have been here
God dammit! Why wasn't I here
"It's going to be okay James" Michelle whispered, she sounded so sure. I'm glad one of us is sure...
