Part 4

I paced in the waiting area of the hospital containment lab that I knew the team was at but no one was giving me answers. I had already used all of nursing credentials and my last name to get me this far but then I wasn't getting anywhere else. As I paced a saw a doctor come out from where the rooms were and he looked right at me.

"Are you Grace Richards?" He asked and I nodded, he extended his hand.

"I am Doctor Nick Morrison and I have been treating your brother and your friends. We got looking at his info and on all of their paperwork it is stated that you are to be present in the case of any medical procedures. It's stated you are a nurse and soul caregiver." He said and I nodded.

"Yes, I'm an RN and going my bachelors of science in nursing degree." I said and he looked at me kind of shocked.

"Wow, you seem kind of...." He started to say.

"Young? Yeah I know. We can discuss this later after I see my brother and my friends?" I asked and he nodded as we headed to the back.

"Just keep your nursing badge visible at all times and no one will question it. We have given your badge access to all rooms and systems." Nick said and I nodded and smiled. He took me to a room and I beat him in scanning my badge to get in. When I walked in I saw Ben waking up.

"Oh god! Ben!" I said and ran over to him and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around me.

"Thank god you are okay." I said and we released from the hug and the doctor handed me his chart.

"Are you the nurse now?" Ben asked and I nodded.

"Reed had it set that all of you would be under my care if you were ever hurt." I said and Ben laughed.
"Johnny is going to love that." Ben said and I got a sad look on my face.

"Ben, I don't know how anyone else is, you are the first one awake and first one I saw." I said and Ben grabbed my hand and he smiled.

"They will be okay." Ben said and I smiled. I turned to the doctor.

"I either need to take his chart or have a copy of his and everyone else's so I can compare." I said and the doctor nodded.
"I will go work on getting you copies. If you would like your brother is next door, sue is the next on then Johnny." Nick said and left the room.

"I am going to check on Reed." I said and Ben nodded. I walked out of the room and headed into Reed's room to see him missing from the bed.

"Reed?!" I panicked and he came out of the bathroom.

"Gracie?!" Reed asked and I rushed to him and hugged him. I held on a little too tight.

"Hey Gracie, I am in some pain." Reed got out and I released him quickly. I helped him back into bed.

"Have you seen anyone else?" Reed asked.
"Ben is awake and then you. By the way, thanks for making me everyone's caregiver." I said and Reed smiled.

"I want to know I am getting the best care." Reed said and I nodded.

"Gracie, I have to get to Sue." Reed said. I grabbed a wheelchair from the corner of the room.
"Seriously Gracie?" Reed asked.

"Do you want me to be the nurse or not?" I asked and Reed groaned as I helped him in the wheelchair. I wheeled him from his room to see Sue still out.

"I will leave you alone with her and go check on Johnny." I said and Reed nodded grabbed Sue's hand.

"Also don't think I forgot that I have to beat you up for not telling me you were engaged before you left." I said and Reed huffed a laugh.

"Once I'm all better I'll let you punch me." Reed said and I walked out. I ran into Nick as I did and he handed me copies off all the charts.
