Part 23 - FINAL

*****6 years later*****

I was arriving back at the Baxter building after not being there for 6 years since I left New York and moved to Washington DC to work closely with Hager and be on his special team. I walked in and saw Kenny still working behind the desk.

"Miss Reed, so nice to see you back." Kenny said coming from behind the desk and giving me and hug and I smiled.

"Hey Kenny, still get there the same way?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes ma'am, they remodeled a bit though." Kenny said and I groaned.

"Sounds great." I said and headed up in the elevator. Once we reached the top floor I smiled when I saw the front door open.

"Go find him." I said and let go of my 5-year-old sons hand and he smiled and went running into the apartment.

"UNCLE REED!" He yelled out. I walked in after him and set our bags down by the door. We got no answer from anyone and I looked around at the remodel in shock. It didn't look like it used to at all.

"Sue?! Reed?!" I yelled out confused.

"AUNT SUE!!" My son yelled and she came walking in from a back room.

"You guys are here!" She ran over and picked up my son and hugged him and then ran and hugged me. Once we broke apart Sue looked at my son.

"Levi, Uncle Ben is outside on the balcony with Aunt Alicia, why don't you go find them. I need to talk to your mom." Sue said and Levi looked at me.

"Go ahead." I said and he ran towards the balcony door.

"UNCLE BEN!" He yelled out so excited to be back seeing everyone. Sue looked at me and sighed.

"So he flamed the other day?" Sue said and I nodded.

"Yeah, luckily we were at home but he got angry and it just kicked on. I never lied about who his father was so I wanted to bring him here to run tests and to have Johnny talk to him." I said and Sue nodded.

"Not to mention he is junior best man at the wedding." Sue said and I nodded.

"Right, that too." I said and sighed. I went and grabbed my bag.

"My room still the same?" I asked and Sue nodded. I walked my bag to my room and then went into the next room that was Levi's. As I set his bag down I looked around and saw a photo of Johnny, Levi and I from Levi's first birthday, the last time Johnny and I tried to make it work out and it didn't. It was his last chance because I had given him too many chances. When Johnny and I slept together and he was gone when I woke up, I didn't see him for 4 days. He had gone missing and no one could find him. He finally showed back up, no explanation where he was and I was already done with him. He hadn't called or anything while he was gone. He showed up, didn't apologize and acted like we were still together and everything was fine. I broke up with him instantly and contacted Hager about a job with him in Washington DC and left. I didn't know I was pregnant until 4 months into being in DC. I informed Johnny right away and he moved to DC with me to help and try to make us work but the trust didn't exist for either of us and 3 days after Levi's first birthday we broke up again this time for good. I turned to leave the room and I saw him standing there leaning on the doorframe.

"Johnny Storm." I said and gave a small smile and he returned it.

"Grace Richards." Johnny said and I silently groaned. He hadn't called me Cece since we broke up and I missed it, longed for it.

"Where is he?" Johnny asked.

"On the balcony with Ben and Alicia." I said and Johnny nodded.

"So he flamed?" Johnny asked and I nodded and he smiled.
