Part 18

It had been a week and a half since the whole blow up with Reed and Connor leaving. I had been calling Connor and was getting no answer from him. His phone always went to voicemail and every text read but not answered. I had even seen him one night I was working, he was getting a statement from someone and when I tried to approach him when he was leaving he just kept going. I knew it was over and I hated it. I was arriving home from work one night knowing Reed and Sue were out which I was thankful for.
"Hey Kenny." I said walking in.

"Miss Richards, I have a note for you. I was asked to deliver it personally when you came home." Kenny said and I looked at him confused.

"Who is it from?" I asked and he smiled.

"Sorry ma'am I was sworn to secrecy." Kenny said and I sighed with a smile.

"Thanks Kenny." I said and got on the elevator. I opened the note on the elevator.

-Meet me in the lobby at 7pm tonight. Dress up but wear pants please.-

I was highly confused by this note but I knew it had to be from Connor. He was wanting to surprise me, this had his name written all over it. I got into the apartment and found 3 vases full of a mixture of daises and roses on the coffee table. I went over and found the card with the flowers.

-Just something beautiful for a beautiful woman that deserves so much more than this.-

I was now even more confused wondering how the flowers got into the apartment but I then figured Kenny let Connor in. He did good at guessing daises and roses were my favorite flower, I didn't think I ever told him that but maybe I did at some point. I had sometime before I needed to get ready so I did some homework and once that was done I went to my closet and sighed then smiled. I pulled out a jumpsuit romper I had bought for Reed and Sue's rehearsal dinner but it was a little too revealing. The whole jumpsuit was black and the top was a sheer lace bodice cami with straight legged pants. I paired it with a pair if hot pink heels just to add a little color. I took a quick shower style my hair leaving it down and wavy and I got dressed. I looked at the time and it was 6:58pm. I grabbed my clutch put and headed to the lobby. Once I got to the lobby someone was standing with their back to me and when he heard me get off the elevator he turned around.

"Johnny?" I asked confused. He walked up to me.

"Cece, give me a chance, please. I want to take you out, no games, no tricks, no arrogant asshole. Just Johnny." He said and I couldn't help but give a small smile.

"Johnny..." I said.

"Please Cece, this what was I should have don't to begin with. Give me this chance. I know you are with Connor even though it's up in the but give me a chance please?" Johnny asked and I melted at his begging, he was being serious and really trying.

"Okay. One shot Johnny. You screw this up...." I trailed off and he nodded.

"I know I know." Johnny said with a smile shaking his head. He looked at my appearance and smiled.

"You look amazing." Johnny said and I smiled as I saw him in a white button up shirt and black dress slacks and a red maroon colored jacket.

"Ready to go?" Johnny asked and I nodded. He looked at Kenny and nodded who handed him a duffel bag.

"Do you trust me?" Johnny asked with a smile.

"That's a loaded question Storm." I said and he laughed.

"Do you trust me?" Johnny asked and I sighed.

"Yes." I said and he handed me the bag.

"Put all of this on over your clothes." Johnny said and I looked in the bag and saw a fireman getup.
