Part 15

I was sitting at the wedding reception at a table with Ben, Alicia and Johnny with his date. Sue and Reed came walking over to our table and smiled.

"Just so you all are aware. You will be dancing with your partner halfway through our first dance. The DJ will announce you on the floor." Sue said and I looked at Johnny.

"Can I opt out of this and Johnny dance with his date?" I asked and Sue looked at Reed.

"No, you cant." Reed said and I groaned.

"Fine." I said and Johnny smiled at me and winked. I rolled my eyes.

"Why don't I dance with Gracie if Alicia wouldn't mind dancing with Johnny?" Ben said and I shook my head.

"Dance with your girlfriend Ben, it's not like I haven't danced with Johnny before. I bet he can be gentlemen for 2 minutes." I said and he nodded and gave a salute while smirking. Melinda laughed hysterically at this.

"Excuse me, I am going to get something stronger to drink." I said.

"Thank god there isn't karaoke." Johnny said and I walked away. When I made it to the bar I saw Sue and Reed talking in the corner where the DJ was and Sue was clearly panicking. I rushed over.

"What's going on?" I asked and Sue groaned.

"The DJ doesn't have our first dance song." Sue said.

"I told her we had a backup that they have." Reed said and I looked at him in shock.

"Are you crazy. You never use the backup, having a backup is dumb." I said and Reed groaned. I then took a deep breath and saw a piano in the corner of the room by the dance floor.

"Sue, Reed. Let me do something for you. They have a piano and I know the song by heart. Let me play it and sing." I said and they smiled.

"What about dancing with Johnny?" Sue asked and I looked at her and she laughed.

"Okay so no bridal party dancing." Sue said and I nodded.

"Please let me do this for you guys. The song is perfect for you two." I said and they looked at each other.

"Can you set a mic up at the piano?" Reed asked the DJ and he nodded.

"Go do that. Just let me know when." I said and Sue and Reed nodded. I went to walk away and the DJ got my attention.

"I was able to put the music up on tablet and I can get it printed for you. I know you said you know it, but just incase." He said and I smiled.

"That would be perfect." I said and he smiled and went and did that while his assistant set up the mic. I walked over to Johnny and smiled.

"We aren't dancing together. I am getting Reed and Sue out of a jam.

"What are you doing?" Alicia asked.

"You'll just have to wait and see...well hear." I said and we laughed. Melinda didn't laugh.

"I don't get it." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"You keep rolling those they will get stuck in the back of your head." Alicia said and I walked over and placed my hand on her shoulder and leaned down.

"Then I wouldn't have to see Johnny." I whispered and she laughed. The DJ came walking over to me with the sheets of paper.

"Perfect, thank you." I said and walked up to Sue and Reed.

"I have sheet music so whenever you guys are ready." I said and they smiled. They both wrapped me in a huge hug.

"You are amazing and we love you so much." Reed said.
