As far as I know, some of Seungcheol's men live here which made me worried whether I will encounter Jeonghan or not. Not that I'm a fan, but it just feels weird, honestly. I hope he didn't see me last night being a sneaky snake. I could never forget the look on his face, I mean he's got handsomeness written all over, but when we lock eyes, I can see panic in his.
Now, I'm starting to doubt whether he's really Yoon Jeonghan, the artist; maybe, I was hallucinating? no, it cannot be. I'm in a very perfect health.
"Oh where are you going? looking all dressed-up," Junhui said as he watch me get down the stairs. I wore my jeans, sweater, coat and held a bag.
"Just gonna hang out with my friend,"
"Oh, why don't you come and have breakfast first," As soon as I got down the stairs. I turned around only to find another man with gentle features.
"Pardon me for not introducing myself first. I'm Hong Jisoo, you can just call me Jisoo or Joshua," He offered a handshake which I gladly accepted.
"Jung Nari,"
"I know...the infamous little red," he gave me a wink before walking past me. I diverted my gaze at Junhui.
"Why does everyone keep calling me little red?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him, as he chuckled.
"I tell you what, have breakfast first,"
***
"Where are you going?" Those were Seungcheol's first words as soon as I sat down to eat breakfast.
"Hang out with my friend, Mingyu," I responded as I began to chomp down on the pancakes in front of me.
"Okay, where are you two going then?"
"Why do you have to know?"
"Because we have to in order to protect you—"
"Protect me? It's just a hang out—"
"I am just abiding by the request of your father, Jung Nari," he raised his voice which got the atmosphere in the dining room quite heavy.
There was a moment of silence before Wonwoo cleared his throat. "Let's eat diligently, everyone. We don't wanna waste such beautiful morning," he said, as clanging of utensils could be heard.
I stifle a sigh before telling Seungcheol. "We're going to a festival in Jisok arena. My friend's sister just want to see Jeonghan," as soon as I said that, Junhui almost spat out his water while Joshua gave me a look.
"J-Jeonghan? you mean the uhm singer?" Junhui asked, sounding a bit astounded.
"Uhm yeah, who else?" I raised an eyebrow as all of a sudden, everyone hung their head low and proceeded eating.
What I saw last night must've been him for real. Seeing how they reacted, I was right. That man last night in the meeting room and that pretty boy in the painting, it's him. Yoon Jeonghan, the rising star of Korea.
Knew it. An artist is involve within some illegal shits.
"Uh-huh, take Junhui with you," Seungcheol said.
"What? Why?!"
"Because someone has to keep an eye on you," He said as I diverted my eyes on Junhui who's casually eating.
"No, not him!" I exclaimed.
This guy's a mischievous one and who know what he might do in front of my friend? That would be humiliating and embarrassing.
"Okay fine, if not him, then it's going to be me. No buts and what ifs. The deal is done," Seungcheol spoke so fast that I didn't even get to caught up.
Fuck.
***
"Fuck, I feel like I have a fucking babysitter," I whined as I sat on the passenger seat, crossing my arms.
"I'm just going to keep an eye on you, little red. That's all," Seungcheol said as he halted the car in the lot we parked in.
"Stop calling me that," I shot him a glare.
"Don't think of me as your babysitter," he trailed off as I faced him, pissed off.
"What shall I think of you, then?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Think of me as your boyfriend, I guess," he suddenly leaned so close as he unbuckled my seatbelt. I sat frozen on my seat due to his sudden action, before he had let go and for the first time...
I saw him smirk!
"Hop off," he commanded, as I felt my cheeks burn along with my heart that began to beat, rapidly.
I didn't know Seungcheol can be quite...flirty.
***
I have to say, for a man who is old, dressing up like a campus boyfriend looked so good and it suits him. Seungcheol wore casual clothes like jeans, flannels and sneakers which was an unusual style from his suits.
As far as I know, Seungcheol and his men are already in their 30s which is not far from my age since I'm already 26, but he looked younger than me due to his style today!
"Nari, I already bought you tickets! You can just pay me back!" Mingyu appeared with tickets in his hands, and a smile on his face.
"Aww thanks—where's your sister?" I asked.
"Oh, she just went to the washroom—" his words were cut off upon landing his eyes on Seungcheol, who casually stood by my side, hands inside his pocket.
"Who's that?" He whispered.
"O-Oh, t-this is Choi Seungcheol—"
"You must be Kim Mingyu?" Seungcheol smiled.
"Yeah, that's me," Mingyu smiled as they shook hands.
"I'm Seungcheol, Nari's boyfriend," I was startled upon feeling him pull me by my waist. My mind went blank and it felt like my heart is about to jump out of my chest.
What the hell is this guy up to?!
Mingyu's round eyes were diverted on me as I looked at him with wide eyes too because I don't know what is happening. "N-Nice to meet you, Seungcheol. I'm honestly surprised like woah," he chortled.
"Nari, I didn't know you have a boyfriend!" He exclaimed enthusiastically with a teasing smirk.
"I-I uhh, it's a long story," I chuckled, nervously as I wrapped my arm around Seungcheol's waist, slightly pinching him which made him squirm.
I didn't think he'd take it seriously.
