Seungcheol's POV
"You won't really talk, huh?" I asked as I grabbed a handful of his hair and made his head, drown in the bucket of water.
"I-I'm telling you, I have nothing to do about tha—" I landed a punch on his face, causing the fat, bald guy to land on the dusty concrete. He wasn't able to get up due to his wrists and feet tied together.
He coughed as I walked towards him and knelt down. I grabbed his collar, "Lie to me one more fucking time. I swear to God, you won't see daylight no more," he suddenly spat on my face which I wiped off.
"You really won't, huh," I stood up and signaled my five men which they obliged to and began to beat up the man.
He groaned and wince in pain upon the multiple punches, kicks on his body, unable to reiterate since he's tied down. I turned towards the skinny guy who sat on the chair, tied too as he watched his friend, suffer my wrath. "Would you talk? or do you wanna end up like your friend right here," he frantically shook his head, fear plastered all over his face.

It took about a good hour before ending the two's lives. I got the word out from that skinny guy and it turns out their idiotic acting boss is really the one who ordered the abduction to avenge their real boss who has been imprisoned by Nari's father.
It would be useless to let the two live because regardless, they will report back to their boss and might order my execution or worse, a war. These two men's death will serve as a warning to not mess with me.
Just like what it says on that one book I've read: 'Crush your enemy totally'
"I see, you've already taken matters into your own hands," I turned around, only to find Hyunsuk walking towards me. My men are still taking care of the mess in the warehouse while I keep an eye on my other guys here at the back of the warehouse, where we are trying to carefully stage these two guys' body along with a special letter, dedicated to their boss.
"It's useless to keep them alive, anyways," I responded, casually, as the old man smiled, and patted my shoulder.
"I knew, I could count on you,"
"Thank you, Seungcheol,"
"No problem, sir,"
"I was right that I could trust you,"
And I won't trust you back.
There has been some suspicious shenanigans going on six years ago regarding Nari's mother's death. Joshua advised me not to pry in due to the fact that it's a family matter. However, curiosity enticed me so much which led to...investigating more without Joshua knowing.
Planting spies into Hyunsuk's company isn't enough which is why I ordered some men to keep an eye on him while he's at home and of course, wherever he goes. So far, there has been no reported of suspicions. However, it is better to keep an eye that not doing.
"So, how is she?"
"Who's she?"
"Nari,"
"Ah yes, she's fine. She has waken up while you were busy doing these,"
I nodded my head. "Speaking of which, once again, we had a fight. She's against corruption and shit just like her mother who is complicated," I quirked my eyebrows upon hearing that.
Almost everyone knows that complicated is a code for bitch.
Hyunsuk's not against corruption, while his wife is.
Isn't that a motive for murder?
I turned towards him, watching the man stand there, staring at the dull sky. He, then, turned towards me with a smile. "I'll wire you the paycheck for this month. I have to go now," he patted my shoulder and left.
"Take care, sir," I bowed and as soon as I turned around, I watch him left.
Hearing him talk about his wife like that, makes me think if he really did kill her. I have to find the autopsy report, and the real investigation report without anyone noticing. The one that Soonyoung got in his hands are photocopies of letters being exchanged by the retired prosecutor who handled Nari's mother's case, and Nari's father.
It appears that the prosecutor and Hyunsuk has something going on in order to 'cover up' Nari's mother's death. I know I'm nosey, but it felt like I need to do something because clearly, this poor little red knows nothing about the latter.

The hospital's open for 24/7, plus we've got connections with them which is why they let me in, easily. I picked up some food from the convenience store for Junhui since he's the one in charge of keeping an eye on Nari.
The man was outside by the room, playing games on his phone. "How is she?" I asked, as I handed him the bag of food, water bottle and of course a cup of fresh brewed coffee.
"She's been crying,"
"Oh, why?" I asked as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Dunno, she fought with Mr. Jung earlier," I knocked on the door first and opened it a bit.
"Can I come in?" In there, I saw Nari, sitting on the bed, lifeless as she held her phone. She lightly nodded her head, so I did come in. She wore a hospital dress, a bandage on her left forehead and an IV fluid, stuck on her wrist.
"So, how are you?" I asked as I put down the other bag of food by her night stand.
"I bought some food, in case you haven't eaten," She immediately got the bag and opened it.
"Thanks, the hospital food sucks," she muttered. I sat there as I watch her eat, hastily.
She must be really hungry.
"I heard through the vine, that you had a fight with your dad. Is everything all right?" I asked, casually as I leaned on the seat.
She stifle a sigh as her shoulders went droopy. "Everything is NOT fine because that old man is clearly out of his mind. I'm so over these kinds of shits and I just want it to be over. That's all,"
Hyunsuk's right.
She's like her mother, also against corruption.
Which makes me think, will Hyunsuk also kill his daughter? not that I'm expecting to, but there is a possibility which is petrifying and highly alarming.
"Well, being in the law enforcement has neve been--"
"What's that on your shirt?" I took a look at my shirt where I saw a taints of red. I quickly covered it with the jacket I wore.
Fuck.
I should've changed first before coming here.
"It's ketchup," she nodded her head, as she continued munching on the food.
I can't help, but to feel bad with how clueless she is.
