Narrator's POV

The energy was low in the mansion for the next few days. Everyone did their business and just focused on themselves. Nari prepared for her bar exam and would review for eight hours, but of course that includes the thirty minute break from time to time.

While Seungcheol deals with front business along with Joshua, Jihoon whom is the accountant of the hotel, and Soonyoung whom is the lawyer of the hotel. Jeonghan focuses on his career as an artist while Wonwoo takes care of his small clinic by the neighborhood, and Junhui stays at the hospital, waiting for his wound to heal.

People in the house were merely communicating as they have their own things to focus on especially Nari who is pretty hands-on with her review for the bar exam.

Nari entered the house with Soonyoung, both just came from her school since it just got done. "Do you need any help with your review? I still have my reviewers from two years ago," Soonyoung trailed off as they both went to the kitchen.

"Yeah, I'd be glad to receive help and enlightenment from someone who's an expert," Nari responded as she took out some food from the pantry.

Soonyoung chuckled upon hearing the compliment. "No biggie," he said as he and Nari laughed.

"Why don't you ask your dad for some help too? I'm pretty sure he's got some more insights than me," Nari leaned against the wall, across Soonyoung who leaned on the counter with a glass of water.

"Eh, we're not talking these days," Nari shrugged her shoulder.

"Why?" Nari was about to respond when they both heard muffled chatters from a far which caught their attention. They exchange glances before following the noise, only to led them to the office of Seungcheol.

"Move, Wonwoo. I can't fucking see," Jihoon demanded.

"And so am I, for God's sake," Wonwoo whined.

"Uhm, what's up guys?" The two flinched upon hearing Soonyoung spoke.

"God, you scared me," Wonwoo sighed.

"Seungcheol's having a meeting with Mongjo," Soonyoung's eyes widened as walked towards the two to eavesdrop through the slightly opened door of the office.

"What? Are you for real," Soonyoung gasped, lightly. Nari, curious as she is, proceeded to join in eavesdropping too. The four of them peeked through the door, only to find a man, kneeling before  Seungcheol who sat by his swivel chair while Joshua and Jeonghan stood at both of his sides.

Why is this some kind of 'The Godfather' shit? - she though to herself as she began to listen, eagerly.

"I swear to God, it won't happen again. I won't offend you no more--j-just please don't execute my men like that. It cost me an economic crash here," Seungcheol crossed his legs as he placed both of his hands on the elbow handle of his chair.

Seungcheol could not help, but to smirk as he knows that his plan worked.

Just a little bit of project for Ryejong, and this asshole comes here begging for his life. Hilarious. - he thought to himself.

"Well, as long as you do not do me wrong, I won't,"

"And as long as you don't mess with the people I'm connected with, I won't"

After the reconciliation between Mongjo and Seungcheol, the latter called all his men for a meeting. "Everyone, I am pleased to announce that Mongjo and I have finally come to a solution which is to reconcile and it went well," Seungcheol announced as he sat at the head of the table.

Junhui didn't hide his boredom and even rolled his eyes. "Thought there'd be war and shit," he muttered in disappointment since he was expecting the thrill of bloodshed to come sooner.

Right after Seungcheol ordered Ryejong to execute a massacre within Mongjo's triad, the man did oblige and it petrified Mongjo since he wasn't aware of how capable and powerful Seungcheol is, which resorted him to coming forward for a reconciliation as he didn't want to lose some of his underlings no more which could lead to lack of people, lack of distributor of drugs and lack of income; an absolute economic crash for short.

"Although things with Mongjo have been cleared up, we are still ought to keep an eye on Nari," he trailed off.

"And we are ought to tighten security," he added.

"That's all I have to say. Dismissed," as soon as he said that, all of them exited except for Joshua and Jeonghan.

"Told you, he'd kneel before me because he's a fucking coward," Seungcheol smirk as Jeonghan rolled his eyes.

"Good thing he is, but if he didn't. It'd be a fucking anarchy," he responded.

"Speaking of which, where's Nari?" Seungcheol asked.

"She's probably in her room, studying." Joshua responded.

Seungcheol decided to pay Nari a visit as he is kind of worried about her. He made his way to her room, he knocked on the door lightly right after contemplating about it for minutes. Nari did open the door and was quite startled by his presence. "H-Hey,"

   "Hey," Seungcheol, casally responded back.

"Here's my reviewer from the bar exam two years ago. I hope it helps," Seungcheol hands her a binder, full of files that are highlighted.

"Oh wow, thanks. I was just talking to Soonyoung about the bar since he offered me his reviewers," Nari flipped through the binder.

"O-Oh really? Do you already have his?"

My notes are better than Soonyoung's! - Seungcheol thought to himself as he felt something sting in his chest and bit of fluster.

Nari smiled. "No, I was just about to ask him,"

"W-Well, you don't need to since I already gave you my notes," Seungcheol confidently said with a smile.

   "Anyway, how are you?"

"Well, I guess fine, but if it's about the bar--I'm not fine about it," Nari chuckled.

"You'll get through it, Nari. And I'm--we're here to help you if you need something," Seungcheol reassured.

"If you need someone to help you study, bring you food or whatever it is, don't hesitate to ask because I know how stressful it can be to prepare for the bar," he added as Nari held the binder in her chest, as she felt her heart melt upon hearing those words.

Those are just words of reassurance yet it's killing me to the bones. - Nari thought to herself.

"T-Thanks a lot, Seungcheol," Seungcheol felt butterflies in his stomach upon hearing his name roll out of her lips.

There was an awkward silence between the two before Nari broke it. "I-I should probably get back to reviewing. Thanks again for this, goodnight,"

"U-Uh yeah, goodnight too," the two made eye contact as Nari shut the door.

Seungcheol made his way back to his office. Gritting his teeth as he clench his fist in embarrassment. "Why the hell am I stuttering," he muttered in distress.
