Avery's POV
I sat there for what felt like hours doing nothing but looking down at the ground.
I didn't know what to do with this newly found information but I knew I had to do something. Just then one of the twins came in Lexie . "Hey how you doing" she asked sitting down on the bed next to me as she rubbed her eyes"
"I'm fine" I said turning to smile at her I knew it wasn't very convincing as my eyes were probably red and puffy from all the crying.
"Can I ask you something" I said
"Yeah sure anything"
"Why did you guys come all this way to find me"
"Because your our Alpha" she simply said
"I'm no Alpha I couldn't even save my own family"
"You were a kid there wasn't really much you could've done we didn't come here for little kid you we came here for the you , you are now"
"And what am I now"
"Your strong I felt it when we got here"
"So did I" an voice said from in the door way I looked over to Riley standing in the doorway
"We didn't know if we had the right person till I talked to the witches downstairs" Riley said
"Wait the what?"
"Oh you didn't know? Yeah your so called parents are witches of the Blue fire coven" Alexia said coming up behind Riley.
I shrugged it off honestly nothing surprises me anymore
"What's next you guys going to tell me vampires exist!?"
"Um they uh actually do" Lexie said
"Oh my goodness"
After a while I finally came to grips with everything , I was still a little confused and unsure but I knew that I couldn't just walk away from this, that I couldn't just ignore this although I wished that I could
"So what now?" I asked them
"You tell us your the Alpha" Riley said
"I don't know I'm sorry" I said
"It's ok Avery just take your time" Riley said
"No don't tell her to take her time every second she just sits here our pack is suffering at the hands of Gerard" Alexia said
"She needs some time to figure things out Alexia" Riley said
"We wasted enough time even looking for her You should've just let me kill him when I had the chance" Alexia said
"He would have killed you Alexia that would've been suicide your not strong enough to beat him" Riley said Alexia growled at her "And she is? Look at her she didn't even know her last name" Alexia said I looked down knowing she's right.
"Quit it Alexia" Lexie said
"No we're going to die if she chooses not to fight" Alexia said I sighed and looked up "good thing I'm not choosing that then" I said they all looked at me shocked.
I wasn't sure what I just got myself into but I knew in my heart that this was something only I could do.
"Are you sure this won't be easy" Riley said
"Nothing in life is" I said
"Ok then we hit the road tonight" she said
"Wait what?! I can't just leave my family" I said
"If your going to take on Gerard your going to need training and we can't do it here if we stay here any longer he'll track us here to you I'm assuming you've never shifted before so he won't be able to recognize you as one of us but if he gets close enough I'm sure it won't be hard for him to tell " Riley explained
"No offense but how are you guys going to train me?" I asked truly curious as they don't seem like the best group
"I'm your beta I was born and raised to fight and be a leader when I have to which also makes me 3rd in command as the Luna wolf is your 2nd, Alexia here is a worrier wolf , Lexie's a healer, my brother Gabriel's a patrol wolf and Roy's a hunter wolf"
"And what?, does those titles mean you have special powers or something?" I questioned
"Kind of see Me and Gabriel was born Into a family with generations of beta wolves basically on the day of the initiation ceremony for the new alpha the beta also have one the goddess chooses who will be the next alpha's right hand man, if it's not you then the moon goddess will give you a different role one that she thinks suits you well, that's how Gabriel became a patrol"
What special abilities they have
Gabriel patrol wolf- has 10x better senses then the average wolf
Lexie healer Wolf- can heal any womb
Alexia worrier wolf- worrier wolfs are better in a fight then anyone else and harder to beat in hand to hand combat
Roy hunter wolf- hunts down just about anything or anyone they are asked to
"I know this is less then ideal but I think you have a shot at winning" Riley said I nodded
"Ok" I said
Sometime later nighttime hit and we all were getting ready to leave I packed some clothes and once I was done we all gathered around downstairs. As the guys loaded the jeep up I went to say my goodbyes to my parents and sister.
"I wish we could come with" my mother said pulling me into her arms we hugged for a few minutes and then pulled away I turned to look at my dad. "Avery remember we love you and that you'll always be our daughter when this is all over promise us you'll come back to us" he said I smiled and nodded "I will" I said I then turned to look at my sister who wouldn't even look me in the eye she was angry with me I could tell.
"Izzy I-" I started to say but was cut off
"Why can't we go with her are you seriously just going to let your daughter go fight some strange guy with some strange people we barely know?" Izzy said
"Izzy there's a reason we talked about this so much when you were younger because we knew we'd have to be prepared for this day to come as members of the blue fire coven we're not allowed to mess around in werewolf Affairs what we did, saving Avery all those years ago almost got us shunted from the coven we were lucky the elders had mercy on us" they said but Izzy just didn't want to hear it.
"Let me come with you I don't care about the stupid coven" Izzy said just then Roy popped his head in to tell me that they were ready
"Were all set" he said I nodded and turned back towards Izzy pulling her into a huge, she cried and so did I after a few seconds we pulled away and I whipped the tears from her face "I'll come back to you guys I promise" I said she nodded and I kissed her forehead before walking to the door and waving goodbye.
