Avery's POV
It was in the middle of the night when I woke up to the sound of howling I sat up turning to look at my window where the moon light was shining in through. What the hell was that I thought to myself as I got out of bed and slowly walked over to my window looking outside I seen what looked like two guys standing at the edge of the woods it was pretty dark so it was hard to make out their faces. Why did it feel like I knew them I then raised an hand placing it on the window. One of the figures standing outside did the same copying me.
I quickly ran downstairs opening the front door stepping outside into the cold night air. But when I looked across the street the two figures were gone.
"Hello!?" I called out but no one answered just then my Mom dad and Isabella came running outside.
My dad came over to me checking me "Are you you ok what happened" he asked "we heard the front door alarm go off" Izzy added as dad searched me for any wounds. I just stared at the spot where the two figures once were I spaced out.
"Avery? Avery?! AVERY!!" My dad yelled snapping me out of it I turned to look at the worried looks on my parents and sister face.
"Are you ok" Izzy asked
"Yeah.......I'm fine.." I said before walking back into the house silently.
It was now morning time after what had happened last night you'd think I'd be scared seeing two figures outside of the house staring into my bedroom window. But I wasn't I didn't feel the slightest hint of fear but instead I just wanted to know. Why My Parents and my sister who just so happens to be my best friend as well is hiding things from me. Izzy and I have never hid things from each other why start now.
Standing in my room looking in the mirror I ended up overhearing another conversation between my sister mom and dad.
"Dad we need to tell her"
"Isabella is right Tom it's time"
"She's not ready" my dad said
"You rather her go find out on her own you seen what happened last night" my sister said
"I'm the coven leader and I say it's time" my mom said.
I grabbed my phone off of the nightstand before going downstairs. "Good morning Where are you going sweetheart" my mom asked as everyone just looked at me.
"For a run I need to clear my head" I said leaving out before they could try and convince me not to.
I reached in my pocket pulling out my headphones before plugging them into my phone and playing one of my favorite bands.
I jogged down the road music blasting in my ears as I picked up speed. A few seconds in I was full on running focused on the road ahead of me. Just then I felt an hard hit on the head and before I knew it I was knocked out.
When I came to I heard people whisper yelling at each other I couldn't see as I wasn't fully conscious again. my vision was blurry and my head hurt bad.
"Did you two really just kidnap her" a female voice said
"You said we needed a way to confirm it" a male voice said
"Yes a less harmful way" the Female Voice yelled.
"This was the only way, you said it yourself we are running out of time" the other male voice that was different from the other one yelled
"Um Guys she's waking up" another female voice said.
I grunted as I opened my eyes my vision was blurry for a few seconds but after opening and closing my eyes a few times I was able to see clearly. The first person I seen was a girl she had light brown hair light brown eyes and the other girl next to her kneeling down in front of me looked exactly the same.
Either I was hallucinating and seeing double or they were twins
"Hello? Alpha?" the girl said with a big smile
"Don't call her that we don't know if she is or not" the other one said
Ok yup they are definitely twins I took a look at my situation now noticing that I was tied to a chair. that's when I started to freakout
"What? Where am I? Who are you ? what do you want" I said trying to break loss
"Woah woah calm down we're not going to hurt you" the guy said
"Not going to hurt me? YOU HIT ME OVER THE HEAD!!" I yelled
"She has a point" one of the twins said just then a girl who looks to be the same age as me came up to me causing the twins to move out of the way. She crouched down in front of me looking me in the eyes as she reached up laying a hand on one side of my cheek. I was frozen in place as I stared at her back.
"I'm sorry about this" she said in a soft tone before slicing the side of my neck with something. My body started to instantly shake as if I was having an seizure of something
"What did you do" one of the male voices said
"Shh just wait" the girl said
My head went flying back as my breathing got heavy. I shut my eyes tight trying to stop it and after a moment it did. I reopened my eyes to look at them. They all gasped loudly for what I had no idea why.
"What did you do to me" I said
"I let it out" she simply said as a smile appeared on her face.
