Avery's POV
Training with Riley wasn't as long as last time we were in the backyard in the grass just sitting she made me meditate most of the time which wasn't that bad but I didn't see the point in it so I got frustrated quickly.
"Ok I can't do this" I said getting up and Dusting myself off Riley opened one eye to look at me before sighing then getting up as well.
"You are very impatient you know that" she said jokily
"Im serious Riley I can't do this" I said
"You have to this is the only way you'll learn" she said
"Is this how you learned to be a beta?" I asked sarcastically
"Actually yeah my dad was a beta he trained me from a very young age and he started with this, I know this might not have that much of an affect on you as it did on me because alphas are head strong they think when needed most of the time they just run into battle as long as it means protecting the people they care about but it's ok that they do that because they have us betas around to think more for them and to protect them while they protect everyone else" she explained
"How do you know so much about this stuff" I asked
"My mom your aunt" she said looking down for a brief moment then back up at
"Look is there anything else other then meditation I need to learn from you" I asked
"Ok how about I just offer you knowledge for now" she said sitting down on a bench I followed her and sat down next to her.
"Okay" I said
"Go on ask me anything you want to know" she said
"Why is Alexia to sex crazed?" I blurted out Riley blushed looking at me surprised
"I-I'm sorry I don't know why I asked that" I said shaking my head in embarrassment
"No it's ok I did say anything," she said with a smile
"A mate bond is stronger then anything you haven't even shifted yet so you probably don't feel that pull as much as she do, that pull is making her want to connect with you on a deeper level and the only way to do that is through um....sex" she said
"Oh.."
"Yeah um sex is like marriage with mates some do it right after finding out who they're mate is some wait it's unusual for one to wait though, it's the binding of only the soul mind and body and it was said to boost power in alphas and betas" she explained
"Have you done that with Aron?" I asked
"Uh no not yet" she said
"Why not?" I asked
"Because I like him and I don't want to make that kind of connection just yet" she said
"I know I probably sound like an annoying little kid right now but could I ask why one more time" I said she chuckled and nodded.
"Because my heart still belongs to someone else and it wouldn't be fair to him if I'm still in love with someone else when we do that" she explained I was shocked but I tried not to show it as she did just tell me something personal.
Later on that day when it was now night I was out front with Roy. "So what are you going to be teaching me" I asked as he stood In front of me. "Tonight you are no Alpha Avery tonight you are the hunted my prey" he said rather terrifyingly with an big smirk on his face.
"What do you mean by prey?" I asked
"I mean your going to run into the woods use your skills and sense to hide and keep me from catching you" he said
