Riley's POV
"That was kind of a douche bag move you know" I said to Penny
"I was just trying to prove a point" Penny said
"Yeah but there was a better way to do so without outing her" I replied
"It's never good to Suppress a mate bond it would have hurt them both in the end" she said
"You and I know that better then anyone she whispered loud enough for me to hear I looked away knowing what she was talking about
"Thanks by way for not telling them the full story about you know....us" I said
"I figured there had to be a reason you left that part out" she said with a smile
"Yeah it was a long time ago besides I'm past it" I said rubbing the back of my neck as I looked up at her, just then her face went from happy to serious "I'm not" she said
"What do you mean" I asked, I knew what she meant I just needed her to confirm it as I wasn't exactly sure.
"I'm still in love with you Riley" she said taking my hand In hers "I lied when I said I moved on as soon as I got better I went back to the moon stone pack looking for you, me and a friend" she said
Flash back
"Are you sure she's even still alive" Jackson asked
"Yes I'm sure our mate bond is still intact I'd feel it if she was dead at least I think I would" I said as we sat behind some bushes waiting on the guards to go on break so that we could sneak into the Dungeons and rescue Riley. Just as the guards left and me and Jackson were about to make our move we heard laughing I looked around to see Riley playing catch with her little brother the smile on her face was everything I put a hand over my heart.
"There she is lets go get her" he said But I stopped him
"No she looks so beautiful and happy I want her to find love and I know it can't be me no matter how much I want it to be" I said Jackson gave me a sympathetic look.
"Are you sure?" He asked
"Yeah let's go she doesn't need me anymore" I said but before I left I did one last thing.
"I Penny Meg Johnson reject you Riley Samantha moon as my mate" I said in a whisper
End of flashback
"You rejected me?" Riley asked
"Yeah but you couldn't feel it because you had already believed that I was dead all it did was blend in with that Pain" she said I looked down feeling tears buildup in my eyes in which I forced back down.
"Riley we ignored our mate bond because we were scared of what Gerard would've done if he found out and it weakened the both of us if Alexia does the same with Avery who's an Alpha it will be 20 times worst and I believe that the key to unlocking Avery's dormant abilities is Alexia" Penny explained
"I agree" I said just then Penny got a phone call in which she had to take
"I have to take this I'll send someone to show you all to the pack house" she said running off
It was dark and cold as I sat on a bench outside waiting for the person Penny said she'd send to show me to the pack house just then I got a whiff of vanilla and coffee, I closed my eyes taking in the scent already knowing who it was I could feel my wolf getting excited and honestly so was I.
"Hey" I heard a deep voice say but I didn't turn around as he got closer "I know you can smell me" he said taking a seat next to me I looked up at him and he flashed me a perfect white smile. "Hi Aaron" I said nervously "what are you doing out here all alone" he asked
"My friends ditched me to help my other friends with relationship problems and Penny ditched me for her phone" I Answered honestly he chuckled
"Yeah she told me to show you guys to the pack house" he said
"Well I have to wait on my friends you mind coming back later" I asked
"It's already pretty late and you look tired how about we go round them up eh?" He offered. "Sure why not" I said he then stood up and held out a hand for me to take "My lady" he said I smiled and blushed Taking his hand "Thank you kind sir" I said he laughed and we walked shoulder to shoulder making our way around to look for the others
