Avery's POV
The next day.....
I was sitting on the couch betting on the football game with Roy Gabriel and Aron when we suddenly heard the ringing of a phone.
"Oh come on who phone is that" Roy asked looking at the 3 of us "Not mine" Gabriel said Roy then looked at me "don't look at me Alexia has mine" I said we all then looked at Aron who patted his pockets and pulled out his phone "yup it's me hold guys I have to take this" he said getting up and walking away Roy threw popcorn at him as he did so and me and Gabriel just laughed.
"He's definitely still paying up" Roy said as we continued to watch the game. A few minutes later Aron came back in "Uh guys" he said we all looked up at him "yeah what's wrong" I asked seeing the look on his face "That was my brother apparently they were just visited by a group of vampires looking for You" he said pointing at me.
"What the hell do a group of vampires want with Avery" Roy asked
"That's the thing we don't know but he said they're heading our way must've caught a whiff of your blood from when you got hurt there" said Aron I sighed and looked around at everyone. "Ok Aron you get Alexia, my sister and Riley on the phone tell them to get back as fast as they can" I said he nodded and went off to go do that.
"Gabriel you go tell everyone to go inside their homes lock the doors and don't come out till they hear from me Alphas orders" I said
"Ok" he said before running off leaving just me and Roy
"I'll go check the perimeter" Roy said I shook my head no. "I'll have the patrol wolfs do that I need you here my daughter is in the next room" I said he nodded and was about to go to the room where baby Jenna was till I grabbed his arm causing him to turn his head and look at me. "And Roy whatever happens remember she comes first" I said he nodded and I let him go before going outside of the pack house I called the patrol wolfs and had them check the perimeter then I stood my ground in front of the main pack house. just then Gabriel and Aron came back from their task and took a stand right beside me "the girls are on their way back" he said I nodded and looked at Gabriel for us update "everyone pack member is safely in their homes awaiting your instructions" Gabriel said I nodded and faced forward seeing two out of 6 of the patrol wolfs I sent out coming up to me. "Alpha Avery " the tall guy with dark brown hair said "yes ?" I asked "We spotted 3 vamps outside the perimeter but there's something weird about them" he said "I'm listening" I replied
"Well Um they seem to just be standing there" he said
"What do you mean just standing there" Aron asked
"I mean they're not moving at all" he said
That is weird I thought to myself as I looked at the face of the guy standing in front of me just then Aron spoke saying just what I was thinking. "Hmm that is weird" he said I nodded in agreement that's when it hit me. "Wait Aron didn't Alpha Nate say there was a group of vampires heading our way" I asked "Um yes" he replied "3 is hardly a group" I said Arons eyes widened with realization. "Twos missing we need to ready our defenses now those 3 were just a destruction" he said I nodded "do as he said" I told the two patrol wolfs standing in front of me they quickly ran off to do so,
We all turned to face forward only to come face to face with two vampires Gabriel and Aron both got on guard as did I, my eyes glowing a bright deep purple color I stood there with my fist balled up tightly.
"My my you do have your fathers eyes" he said causing me to look at him in shock my eyes going back to their normal color. What did he know about my father I thought to myself as I stood there looking at him. "You can all relax we're not here to start any trouble we just want to talk" he said "What could you possibly want with us" Aron said through his clutched teeth, "I sense hostility one of my kind has wronged you haven't they" the vampire said to Aron who just clutched his fist while looking at him the vampire sighed.
"Who are you" I asked he looked over at me
"Oh right how rude of me I'm Talion The vampire lord" he said bowing a bit "Y-your him" Aron said "I can see you've heard of me now are you going to invite me in" Talion said with a smirk.
We all stood there frozen not sure what to say or do and by the look on Arons face I can tell that there was something up with this dude.
