Avery's POV

I was frozen in place at first but I knew I had to say something, "first i have a question" I said stepping up to him. "I'm a open book" he said "did you hurt my people on you way in" I asked he looked at me "No, No one was harmed when we snuck in hence my little distraction" said Talion. "He could be lying Avery" Aron said "oh but I can't" he said showing us his arm

"This little thing prevents me from doing so my witch friend helped me out with this see I knew It would be hard to get you to trust me so I did this, this little mark  here is blue now but it goes purple if I think about lying and red if I actually lie which means I'll be without an arm"  he said I looked towards Aron to see if it was real as I didn't know anything about spells, Aron nodded "it checks out" he said I then turned to look at Talion "Ok you can come in" I said as we all then went inside the main pack house everyone sat on the couch, the in the room suddenly became thicker as we all sat in a tense silence until I couldn't talk it anymore and finally asked the question I've been dying to know the answer to. "How did you know my father" I asked Talion. He smiled "your father was a good man and an even better Alpha I was truly surprised when I heard that he had fallen by the hands of someone like Garrard" he said I found myself glancing at his arm that stayed blue when he said that. "Your father and I were good friends actually" he said "I find that hard to believe my uncle would never align himself with vampires" Gabriel said with a growl I put an hand on his shoulder as of to say calm down and he instantly obeyed. "Why would my father be friends with a vampire" I asked "Same reason he was friends with a witch and a warlock I believe you know them as your adoptive parents" he said.

"See your parents death wasn't just because some mangy wolf wanted to be Alpha but because they were apart of something unusual to some people" he said "what kind of something?" I asked "your father wanted to bring together all 4 of the species Wolfs,Witches,Vampires, and Humans, he wanted to create a world where we could all exist without war," he said "but that's crazy impossible even" Aron said "yes that's what I thought when he came to me but he had already done it on a smaller scale he had already brought together a witch a wolf and a human who severed as the high Council the voice for their species" he explained

"So my father wanted peace" I asked

"Yes he wanted to create a pack where everyone was welcome starting with the 6 separate packs he wanted to bring them together first get them on board and he was the only one that could do you know being the Alpha of all alphas in all, but before he could executed his plan things went left people who thrive off of the chaos didn't like what he was trying to do-" he said

"That's when they came for us that night" I said finishing his sentence

"Yes they thought by Wiping out your family no one will ever be able to bring together the 6 packs and make his dream a reality. That was until I got word that his only child was still alive, you could finish his plan bring together the 6 packs and be one step closer to forever peace" he said

"Why are you so on bored with this plan vampires are bad aren't they?" I asked he sighed and crossed one leg over the other

"As Werewolf's you are all very familiar with the term kill or be killed, if a wolf is challenged for its title and status they have no Choice but to accept and to kill Their opponent or they'll be killed correct?" He questioned I nodded in agreement

"Well it's kind of the same with my kind but the only difference is that the battle is with ourselves. the hunger, if we don't feed then we die me being the vampire lord dying is not an option for me but many of my subjects are not so lucky" he explained which made sense I guess he was right we weren't so different after all.

"So you see we aren't bad we just do what we must to survive and if that makes us bad then it makes you just as bad as us"  he said

"I guess you have a point" I said he nodded
