Avery's Pov:
I woke up to an warm body next to me as I cuddled into it. Wait?! A warm body?! I quickly jumped up looking around. I looked to my side and seen Alexia in my bed? When did she get in here. I slowly slipped out of bed not really wanting to wake her. I then scurried out of the room and down the stairs. Downstairs I was quickly greeted by my mom and dad.
"Mom? Dad?" I said
"Good morning sweetheart how'd you sleep"
Surprisingly good with Alexia holding me all night I thought to myself but didn't say it out loud.
"Ok I guess why are you guys back so early"
"Because honey we need to talk to you" my dad said taking my mother's hands in his.
"Uh ok"
I walked into to living room and stood there "Come sit you'll need to for this" my mom said
"Ok now your scaring me are one of you going to die or something?"
"Oh no no sweetheart nothing like that" my mom said quickly
I nodded and then took a seat on one of the couch chairs. That's when Izzy came in and sat down next to my parents. I raised one eyebrow at her but she said nothing.
"Honey it's about your biological parents" me mom started
""So ? What about them"
"Do you know who they are"
"No i all I know is they didn't want me so they left me out on the side of the road in the middle of the night only for the police to find me"
Mom and dad both shared a look the same look I seen yesterday on the others face that look like they knew something I don't and when I tell you that look have become the look I hate the most.
"What what is it" I asked confused
"Kiddo you should know the real story" my dad said taking a deep breath
"That night you were out on the road in your ladybug pajamas ask me how I know that because we were the ones who found you and we didn't find you by accident. See just some time before you biological Mother had called us we were good friends with your parents your dad was my best friend and so was your mom when your mom called that night a few hours before. she sounded scared but not for her life for yours she didn't tell us much but she told us what she could as she was in a rush"
Flash back to the call
"My daughter Tom their going to kill my baby girl"
"Who who's going to kill your daughter"
"The other pack their here their here for us"
"Ok I'm on my way"
"No! Don't they'll kill you I need you to do me a favor"
"Anything"
"Go out and drive to were the end of the woods are there should be 3 kids two with blond hair a boy and a girl and my daughter get them and take them with you keep them safe please I got to go...."
"Was all she said then the line went dead so we quickly grabbed Izzy and tucked her into her car seat. We went riding around but didn't see you we slowly started to lose hope till a kid around the Same age as Izzy ran out on to the road it was you, you turned around to look behind you and that's when you started screaming."
Flash back
"Make it stop make it stop please"
"Were the words coming out of your mouth we quickly got out of the car I came up behind you and wrapped a warm blanket around you, you fought you were scared but I wasn't trying to hurt you no matter how much we told you that it still didn't matter because you kept fighting so we did the thing we didn't really want to do we injected you with a sleep drug it was used for Izzy because at the time she had severe ADHD so it was hard to get her to go to sleep at night I went inside the truck and grabbed out one out of 3 car seats we strapped you in and went back out we looked to see if any others was hiding or something but never did find the other two it was just you" he said looking down
"So we accepted defeat and took the one we did find home getting adoption papers were hard considering we couldn't do it the legal way because that would mean you going into the system and we couldn't have that not with what you are"
I looked at him confused when he said that part "what I am?" I asked
"Avery your a werewolf an Alpha at that" my mom said. After staring at them for a while I let out a loud laugh.
"Good one you guys almost got me" I said they all just looked at each other Izzy with a sympathetic look on her face.
"Wait you guys can't be serious"
"We are" Izzy simply said
I leaned back into the chair not wanting to believe but knowing they are telling the truth weird things are happening to me I'm stronger faster can hear things I shouldn't be able to hear, I'm able to see in the dark with just my eyes and can smell things from a mile away.
"Your a werewolf of The Moon stone pack your Mom is Melissa Moon and your dad is Jacob Moon Former Alpha of the Moon stone pack" Izzy explained
"That would make my last name Avery Moon"
"Yes" my dad said
"So they were telling the truth Alexia,Lexie ,Roy,Gabriel,Riley"
"The kids upstairs yes they are apart of the pack but I've heard the new Alpha is an abusive killer we have reason to believe that....he um killed your parents and anyone who stood against him and by their side" my dad said and I suddenly felt tears start to run down my face before I knew it I was crying for these people I hardly knew.
"My sister came over and hugged me I'm sorry that this happened to you" she said rubbing my back as I cried into her shoulder.
I went back to my room and sat on the end of the bed all I could think about it what they just told me my mind was going a million miles per hour and I could barely see straight.
I sat there for what felt like hours doing nothing but looking down at the ground.
