Avery's POV
I was sitting on the stairs of some pack member home the lights were out so I assumed that they were asleep. Just then Lexie came walking up to me she then took a seat on the stairs right next to me. "Hey you ok?" She questioned
"I'm fine" I simply replied as I stared at the stars in the sky it looked so beautiful tonight. "Look you have to forgive my sister she's not good with expressing her feelings" Lexie said
"I can see that" I said in a snarky way
"Ok I can tell that your very pissed off but Please try not to hate her I know she can be Um..." she said looking for the right word
"An asshole" I said filling in the blank
"I was going to say hard to deal with but that works" she said chuckling I glanced at her and couldn't help but laugh with her. "Look I know I probably said this before but she really wasn't always like this I meant she's always been tough just not this tough so just try and have patient with her she's worth it I promise" she said I sighed and nodded
"Ok but only because your probably the only one out of that marry band of kidnappers I like the most" I said she laughed and I smiled just then I heard a familiar voice causing me to look up. "Hey can I talk to her for a minute" she asked her sister
"Uh sure" Lexie said getting up and leaving once she was gone Alexia turned towards me "A mate bond is basically short for soulmate it's when the moon goddess chooses two people who are Destin to be and bound them together both by heart and soul a mate bond isn't always romantic sometimes it's friendship others it can be an sibling bond" she said I looked at her confused
"That's not exactly an apology" I said
"Your my mate romantically" she shouted out I was shocked I didn't know what to say
"I-I um"
"Just reject me and get it over with" she said closing her eyes tight I don't know what came over me but it was like I was no longer in control of my body and my legs subconsciously carried me over to her I took both hands and cupped her face as I did I could feel her slowly relax before opening her eyes again, I looked into those gorgeous eyes of hers and it was like everything around us just disappeared and before I knew it I was kissing her she kissed me back, a few minutes in I realized what I was doing and pulled away.
"I-Im so sorry I don't know what came over-" I said but was cut off by Alexia's lips recapturing mine. She pulled me into a deep but passionate kiss my hands on her waist as both hers were placed on each side of my face, we pulled away after a minute both of us breathless as we looked into each other's eyes once again, both of us breathing heavy.
"What does this mean" I asked she smiled I've never seen her smile since she got here
"It means you accepted me as your mate which also means that I am never leaving your side" she said her hands still on both sides of my face. "Good I wouldn't want you to" I said with a smile as we then went back to kissing passionately under the stars.
