Avery's POV
The ride was pretty long we had to stop a few times just so that we could get some sleep and now we're only 5 minutes away. I was looking At my phone as I had just got an text from Alexia that said I Miss you already with an angry face at the end I'm not sure she understands the emojis yet as they did just get these phones so that we could keep each other updated on the search. I smiled at the text before sending her one back that said. I miss you too with a smiley face at the end, just the we came to a stop causing me to look up from my phone. "We're here" one of the guys said we all then got out of the car 3 people who were shifters, shifted into their wolf form while the rest of us went on foot, we were walking through the woods me Amanda and Roy.
"Soooo..." Roy said
"So." Amanda said
"Tell us about your alpha I want to know that we aren't risking our lives for a total douche bag" Roy said Amanda chuckled
"He's brave , smart, strong and good looking" she said
"That's it?" Roy asked
"I don't really know much about him he never really hangs out with all of the pack members" she said with a shrug "Oh so we might be saving a douche bag" Roy said. "Mm possibly" Amanda said as they both then laughed just then we heard what sounded like a twig snap which caused us all to look in the same direction, "Did you guys hear that" Roy asked
"Yeah" I said
"Uh no I didn't hear anything" Amanda said I looked at her oddly there's no way she didn't hear that I thought to myself
"Wait what's that smell?" Roy asked sniffing the air
"What smell" I asked
"It smells like burning wood?" Roy said I sniffed the air "ok I smell it now" I said
"Come on we should follow it" Roy said as we all then started running in the direction of the smell he we got to the source Roy stopped me by putting a hand I front of me "wait it's coming from there that cabin "ok so I'll go in first cover the back you two cover the front and side" he said "ok" I said and just as we were about to got in I was hit over the head with something hard and that was all I remembered before total darkness consumed me.
A few minutes later I woke up I tried to look around but my vision was blurry and my head was pounding. "Avery? Avery?!" I heard Roy whisper yelling I looked around my eyes landing on him or at least what looked like him he called my name again and I was finally able to focus. "Are you ok?" He asked
"Yeah I'm fine my head just hurts" I said "ok now that your friend is ok you mind telling me who you are" another voice said causing me to look across the room only to see a big brown haired guy with gorgeous light blue eyes chained up he looked ruff like he's really had it hard his beard was longer then my hair and he had burn marks, cuts , and bruises all over.
"We are here with a group to rescue you we were sent by Penny" I said he laughed
"That's my girl I knew she'd find me I'm Nate by the way " he said
"Nice to meet you I'm Avery and this is my friend Roy" I said
"Yeah now that we found you we need to get you the hell out of here" Roy said
"Right" I said looking around, I had noticed that Amanda wasn't in here "wait where's Amanda?" I asked, Roy looked around and shrugged "maybe they took her somewhere else" he said Nate looked at us confused, "who's Amanda?" He asked
"She's one of your pack members she told me you didn't know everyone in the pack" Roy said
"No I know everyone in my pack those are the people I train with people I've fought with people I've grew up with or around trust me I know my people" he said I looked him in the eyes and I could tell that he wasn't lying, me and Roy both looked at each other "that bitch Whammied us" Roy said in disbelief "Now that I think of it she did seem a little off to me" I said.
"It's all good though because one mistake they made was not checking my pockets" Roy said as he freed himself from the hand ties he then came over to do the same with me I then stood up and we both walked over to Nate who was still chained up "Ok if these are alpha bound chains then we will not be able to get these off of him" Roy said
"They aren't I'm just pumped full of wolfsbane" he said
"That explains why you aren't healing" Roy said
"Ok Avery you grab one side and I'll grab the other on the count of 3 we're both going to pull with all our strength at the same time" Roy said I nodded and we did exactly that freeing Nate from the chains we then helped him up "Ok one problem though" Roy said
"What?" I asked
"How the hell are we going to get past this steel door?" Roy asked
