Avery's POV
"I'll take her I claim her as my own" I said the room went silent for a moment but then someone spoke.
"I..am grateful to you and I will forever be in debt to you but if you decide to take this child as your own then I'm sorry but you are no longer welcome in my home or around my pack" he said
"I understand thank you for everything as well" I said he nodded and I took the baby and left the pack house making my way outside. Just then I heard people calling my name. "Avery! Wait" Riley said I stopped and turned around
"What are you doing ,we're leaving too" she said
"What why he didn't say you guys just me and the baby" I said
"Avery your a little slow if you think we're just going go let our alpha go out on her own" Roy said
"Exactly your family" Gabriel said
"But are you sure this is a good idea your only 17 are your ready go take care of a baby" Alexia asked I looked down at the little girl in my arms and instantly felt like this was something I had to do. "I was abandoned to because my parents were killed but luckily for me I ended up with a loving family she deserves the same and if I can give that to her then so be it" I said
"Ok then we will make great parents" Alexia said I looked at her surprised "really? Don't you think we're moving a little to fast" I asked she smiled
"Trust me Your actually moving really slow for a wolf couple" Riley said we all laughed just then Aron and Lexie came walking up to us. "So your leaving?" Aron asked "Yeah just like your loyalty is with your Alpha mine is with mine" Riley said "Let me come with you" he said we all looked around confused as he grabbed her hands taking them in his.
"Your my Mate Riley I don't think I could be apart from you" he said pleading, Riley then looked towards me probably wanting me to approve, I was still in shock as I had no idea that Aron was her mate but quickly gave her my blessing. She smiled and mouthed a thank you before turning back towards Aron. "Ok but your going to have to submit to our Alpha to become a member of the pack" Riley said
"Of course I know the routine" he said before walking over to me and kneeling in front of me I was new to this whole Alpha thing so I had no idea what to do just then I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the car we were standing next to and noticed that my eyes had flashed a royal purple everyone else must've seen it to because they were just as surprised as me.
"Was that supposed to happen when people submit to me?" I asked
"I don't know it's different for every Alpha some eye color change others get a boost in power and more" Aron said getting up from the ground
"Oh," I said
"So what now we can't take a baby to war with us and you still haven't figured out what's blocking your alpha abilities" Roy said
"Now we go back to my parents house" I said
"What?! We drove miles to even get where we are isn't that basically just taking steps backwards" Gabriel said making a good point
"I know I know but I have a feeling that those Rouge wolfs are going to come back for her and the safest place she could be is with my parents if that happens" I said
"She's Right Guys that baby now belongs to our Alpha and Luna our number one priority is to protect her our future Alpha" Riley said backing me up I smiled.
"Ok" they all said
"Alright um lets get on the road" I said
"One question how is all of us going to fit in that one jeep" Roy asked
"I have a car as well Roy, Gabriel and Riley can ride with me while Lexie the baby and Alexia stay with you" he said
"Actually..." Lexie said stepping up
"I'm- I'm not coming with you guys" Lexie said Alexia gave her an confused look
"What the hell do you mean your not coming with us?" Alexia asked clearly getting mad
"I mean I'm staying my Mate is here" she said looking down at the ground
"So? Reject him and come on" Alexia said
"Alexia you know why I can't do that" she said looking up at her sister with watery eyes
"You know how rare it is to find another mate when after your other had died, this is a one in a million thing" she explained
"Who is he" Alexia asked
"Th- the alpha is my mate" she said everyone was shocked "My brother is your mate?!" Aron asked excitedly. "Yes" she said Alexia sighed and pulled her sister into a hug "I'm really going to miss you" Alexia said
"Yeah we all are" Riley said "I'll miss you guys to but hey I'll talk to My mate about letting you guys at least visit hopefully he'll agree to it" she said happily. Everyone said their goodbyes to Lexie before loading up into the car I had gave the baby to Alexia so that I could get a chance to say goodbye as well. I went over and hugged Lexie tight she hugged me back we then pulled away after a moment
"You know you'll always be apart of my pack if things go bad here you know you can always come back" I said
"I know and Avery I'm really going to miss you make sure you call and text me everyday your kind of like my best friend" she said I smiled and hugged her again " I will" I said before letting her go and making my way to the passenger seat of the jeep.
"Don't worry my brother love hard and he's nothing but a big ole softy even though he seemed like an ass today I can assure you that he's a good man and an even better alpha your sister is in good hands" Aron said to Alexia "Yeah I hope your right for his sake I don't care about him being an alpha if he hurts my sister I'll rip his spine from his back and feed it to him" Alexia said Aron Swallowed hard you could see fear in his eyes as Alexia stared at him intensely, I put an hand on Alexia's lap trying to calm her.
"She's just joking" I said with a smile
"No I'm n-" she was about to say but I put and hand over her mouth she glared at me as he walked away to get in his car. I sighed and removed my hand completely ignoring Alexia's Glares.
Just the. She started the car and we were off on our way back to my parents with Aron and Riley following closely behind.
