Steph had been to see Jay’s parents, feeling a bit reluctant at first but had bucked up the courage for his sake.
However things hadn’t gone quite as planned, they had refused every little bit of help she begged for. First claiming they didn’t know what she was talking about, keeping up their side of the deal with Buddy and acting like they didn’t know he existed.
“Don’t you understand? The deals over. Jay and the gang know exactly what is going on! You can stop acting like he is invisible to you.” She spat, trying to get through to them but they weren’t co-operating.
“We don’t know what deal you’re talking about.” They replied vacantly, yet Steph was having none of it.
“Don’t sit there and pretend that you’re okay with Buddy getting your son thrown in prison for no fault of his own. They’re aware of what’s going on now, you can help put a stop to Buddy’s games. Finally!” She was desperate now, looking at their blank faces as if they were robots to this vile man.
“We can’t help you, we’re sorry.” They replied with the most sincere response they had given her this whole time.
“Of course you can.” Steph exasperated. “You’re just scared! Your Gibson’s, you the most manipulating and feared family in this life. Stop letting a pathetic man get in the way of family. This is your chance to get rid of Buddy for good. Jay needs you.”
Lifting her ice cold drink to her lips, Jay’s mum didn’t say a word, just looked over to her husband.
“Jay is no son of ours, now if you can excuse us, we have business to deal with.” He spoke before completely blanking Steph out.
Anger riling through her body, she forced her chair back before storming out of the casino. As she made it onto the street, Kye and Liam were outside waiting.
As she reached them, all she could do was shake her head, before gripping onto her hair and screaming.
“I hate your parents with a passion. Did I ever tell you that?” She hissed.
“Join the club.” Kye laughed as they watched her walk off.

Matt had received the news from Steph and the guys, confirming that Jay’s chance of getting out of that prison cell were slimming. His parents were the only ones with the amount of money that could get him out for good and they were completely unwilling to give their help, even if it would benefit them in the long run.
Buddy was messing with the wrong people, however he was winning, due to the hold he had on each and every one of them.
Steph was sat in Matt’s living room, alongside Jess and the rest of the gang. She had flown to England the moment everything had been finalised, needing her bestfriend and not wanting to stay in that vile place any longer.
It was her home, no one could take that from her. But it was full of sick minded people whom didn’t care for anyone but themselves. She needed a break from that.
“So what now?” Jess looked across to Matt, who was struggling with the pressure of having everyone’s eyes on him the whole time.
He was in charge now and it was proving more stressful than he could have ever imagined.
“We’re gonna have to do it ourselves. We have no other choice.” He replied, even unsure of his own decisions.
“You think we can take Buddy down alone?” Jess raised a brow. “I get that he is just one person but he doesn’t work alone Matt. He’s threatened enough people into helping him.”
