Jack had closed the garage a few hours early before rounding every one working that day in the office. After a week of pretty much silence from Jess he was ready to do whatever it took to get her back.

He knew the situation was bad and she wasn’t going to easily accept what had happened, but he was willing to make the biggest fool of himself if it meant he would be halfway to forgiveness.

“You lot need to help me set up something that looks more romantic than the shitty scenes you see in movies, alright?” he looked over to the amused faces.

“You’re so fucking whipped Jack Lawrence.” One of the guys threw his head back laughing.

“Can you blame him though? Have you seen her?” Another added before receiving a look from Jack that was a clear warning to shut up.

“I also need one of you to help me get her here.” He looked over to Aaron before anyone else could quite happily volunteer.

“Surely she won’t if she’s that pissed at you. It’s impossible.” He replied yet Jack had already planned it out.

“She will if her car breaks down when she has somewhere to be.” He raised a brow smirking, obviously pleased with his well thought out ideas.

“You can’t fuck with her car dude, what if she has an accident.” Aaron looked at Jack with wide eyes. He knew the guy wasn’t completely stupid but he sure as hell had a great deal of stupid ideas stacked up in his head sometimes.

“Not that far. I’ve just drained her car of petrol. There’s enough in there to get her a short distance, but it’ll quickly run out.” He began and the others couldn’t help but laugh at how he had literally planned everything to the minor details.

“Surely she’ll notice beforehand?” Owen suggested.

“Nah, she won’t. Not until it stops running.” He was confident. “So Aaron, go follow her until she breaks down. Then you can come to the rescue and bring her and the car back here to ‘fix’. She’ll be driving from Jay Gibson’s house, I’ll put the address in your sat nav.”

With the plan pretty much organised, the guys demanding they get paid for helping him with his fairytale love life, Aaron left, leaving the rest of them to sort out the garage.

Jack had some crazy vision of setting up a dinner and with the help of his kids, who were with him for the day, created something that was both cheesy but beautiful. You could be sure most girls would dream about these kind of set ups but no guy was stupid enough to try and recreate such a ‘movie like’ scene.

“Daddy, where should I put this?” Ellie came up behind Jack, holding a car part in her hand causing Jack to laugh.

“We don’t need that baby.” He took it from her hand, placing it on the side. “I think we’re done.”

Jess had been driving for a good five minutes, following after the other guys as they headed for the warehouse to meet everyone, yet succeeding of Jack’s plan, her car came to a very quick stop.

“Shit.” She hit against the steering wheel, looking at the petrol meter.

Pulling out her phone, she avoided calling Jack’s garage and searched for another that was in reaching distance before another car swerved up beside her and the recognisable Aaron got out.

Walking over he placed his hand on the roof of her car, before leaning down so he was in sight of her window.

Rolling her eyes she wound down the glass.
