A few days had passed since the gang and friends had been sat in front of the Gibson’s, listening to them share the details of the past that had led them to where they are now.

It was difficult, hearing how they had been treated exactly like puppets with very little control of their choices. Yet it had also inserted a bit more understanding into their crazy lives.

The conversation hadn’t fully ended there though, both Rebecca and Jonathon Gibson had proposed their help. Explained how they were not only there to share everything that had happened, but to also help the gang take down Buddy.

“It means one thing though…” Jonathon began. “We will need the help of the other Jasmine, your mother.” He looked towards Jess and Jasmine. “and also Scott.”

That idea hadn’t gone down too well with the gang at first, instantly putting up a fight against people who had treated them horribly working alongside them. But Rebecca had insisted they would need them and they were willing to pay whatever costs would arise to get them out of prison.

The gang were left with no choice but to agree, Jay and Cole had sided with their parents instantly, wanting nothing more than Buddy gone.

“The second thing.” Rebecca then turned her attention to Nessa for the first time since they had been here. “Don’t think we don’t know who you are and that you are indeed pregnant.”

The piercing look across her face was intimidating, like she was ready to make a clear point and she must be listened to.

Jay was very quick to jump in and prevent his mum before she went on one of her threatening rampages, but she continued nevertheless.

“And you heard the rule that we told Juliet? The same applies for Jay. If you have a girl, he will protect her until the day she dies. If you have a boy, you better start preparing him for a life of hell. The moment he turns sixteen, he will be nothing to Jay but another gang member in this world, fending for himself.”

Nessa instantly turned to Jay who was avoiding her eye contact, his eyes firmly on his parents.

“Isn’t that right Jay?” She pressured him for more. “It’s a Gibson thing.”

“Don’t do this now. Not here.” He fort back, running a hand over his forehead, yet Rebecca had no intentions of stopping.

“And the rest of you with sons in this room, you can do as you please with the protection side of things but you better start prepping them for the gang world when they turn sixteen.”

No one could quite believe what was coming out of this woman’s mouth. She had walked in here acting like she was in control of everything. Yet she hadn’t been around them for years.

She had claimed Buddy was the one trying to turn them into his puppets, yet she was now also trying to do just that.

“You’re fucking stupid if you think that’s happening.” George stood to his feet, clenching his fists either side of him.

“I’m fifty three years old. I am a very wise woman.” Rebecca answered.

There was something so spiteful about her.

The way she was willing to do anything to cause some kind of build-up in the room.

“My son is not having anything to do with this shit. What we do is fucking disgusting. I don’t know how anyone could willingly wish that on their child.” He spat, the collection of emotions he had consumed over the past few days finally spilling out.
