“So what then?” George glared in their direction. “It’s obvious it didn’t end there as Buddy’s still at it.”

“It didn’t.” Jonathon began. “Buddy knew he had to come up with something else to destroy you all and he knew we weren’t going to help him anymore, we no longer owed him.”

“So he pretty much relied on you the whole time?” Liam asked, obviously frustrated with his parents.

“He did and he began digging for information against us so he could put forward more threats and make us help him.”

“And let me guess. He found something?” Matt remarked sarcastically.

It was obvious the Gibson’s were getting frustrated by the lack of respect they were getting from the people in the room, but they shouldn’t have expected any more than they were getting. They had been involved the whole time and walking in here trying to look like the good guys wasn’t going to work.

“He found out that Juliet was our daughter because of her and Matt. He threatened to tell her and put her in harm’s way. We couldn’t let that happen of course so we agreed to help him, if he kept quiet.” Jonathon continued.

“He asked us to find him a place in Vegas, to provide him with a gang to help him and a new identity. That’s where the whole ‘Stan’ thing came from.”

They were all beginning to make the connections now. Jonathon and Rebecca Gibson had been behind the whole fake profile Buddy had set up, they had been the ones to give it to him.

“We found Buddy the best and most dangerous men out here, everything should have gone great for him. None of you should have still been standing right now.” He said, looking towards the gang and they were looking back with utter most disgust.

“But, you lot got smart. Joe was out there and found out about ‘Stan’ having George’s parent’s money. Jay, you flew your newly created gang out to Vegas and were also onto Buddy, very quickly finding out he was the face behind Stan.” Shaking his head, he looked slightly angered. “You and Matt together even managed to kill the best men we could find.”

It was all becoming clear, yet it was sickening to think that it wasn’t all coincidental. Everything that happened was planned, everything they did was basically themselves being pulled about by strings.

“Buddy began to fail again, yet he went along with it. We had managed to get Jasmine to come back to Brighton, he knew Jess was going to break only in a matter of time. He also knew the moment Jay found out, that would be it, he would lose it. He didn’t have to think twice about the setup, getting you thrown in jail was the easiest thing he had ever done.”

Chuckling through anger as opposed to humour, Jess bit down on her lip and refrained herself from saying anything. She didn’t need to cause any more trouble than she already had.

“He also thought we wouldn’t help get you out, which we weren’t going to. He had one over on us, he of course would tell Juliet if we were to get involved.”

“But you did get involved, obviously.” George was watching on intently, wanting to understand fully. As messed up as this was, the sense of relief filled him due to the answers they were receiving.

“Steph came begging for our help, we refused but then showed up at her club the day after. We needed something against Buddy if we were going to help. So Steph introduced us to Silver, Buddy’s daughter as you all now know.”

“I remember.” Steph spoke up, cautiously looking to the Gibson’s.

She had played a huge part in helping the gang get to where they were now. Her guidance had changed the path the Gibson’s took. They were no longer in debt to Buddy.

“We asked Silver about herself and managed to get her to speak up about her family. She told us she had two brothers, which didn’t seem right, as far as we were aware it was just Brent.”

This suddenly caught everyone’s attention.

“She told us they went by the names of Brent and George, but she only knew one of them.”
