Okay… you all need to calm the fuck down.” Jonathon stood to his feet, sending a particular glare in the direction of Jess and Jasmine. “You two are as much trouble as your mother.”
As Jess was about to pounce out of her seat for a second time, Jay stretched his arm out and stopped her.
“Now, we didn’t know of the two potential fathers… we were just aware it was Jack’s. So continuing from what we knew at the time, I would like to try and explain the rest without any more interruptions.” Jonathon ordered, his husky tone being every bit of intimidating.
“Go ahead. We’re all waiting.” Cole raised a brow sarcastically, to which his father decided to ignore.
“We thought we were done with Buddy. We assumed we were no longer apart of his games. However he came back, telling us we still owed him as Jay was proving to be more trouble than what we paid out.”
“So you paid him more money?” Matt questioned, like it was going to be obvious.
“No. Buddy told us we had to pretend he didn’t exist, we could never be a part of his life in anyway. Even if he were in danger. He also explained to us his plan to ruin the gang he had just built up. He was done with you all, he had everything he needed. He wanted our help to end you all.”
“So you fucking accepted it? Because you’re that heartless.” George shook his head, unbelieving to what these people were.
They were vile.
“We had no choice. We owed him. But we did it on one condition, that Jay didn’t get hurt, that he was included.”
Rubbing his hands together, Jonathon looked to Jay like he was going to smile and thank him. Jay wasn’t up for those kind of games.
“Buddy went about that part of the deal in his own way, Jess was his first victim so he asked Jay what Jess’ weakness was. That was all he included Jay in and we couldn’t fight that because we hadn’t been precise enough.”
“I don’t understand, what did Jess’ weakness have to do with anything?” Matt looked to them confused. He knew Buddy had a screw loose but he didn’t quite realise to what extent.
“Jay told him that her weakness was love and normality, which it proved to be. Buddy knew if he could make her fall in love it would ruin her eventually.” Jonathan replied.
“We also told him he had an even better opportunity. He could guide Jess into falling in love with the man her sister had a child with. It would come around and break her in the end, like it has now.” Jonathan half smiled, looking to Jack and Jess. “You’re no longer together right?”
They were enjoying every bit of this, which added to the sickness of it. They were supposed to be here to help them, Jay had promised this would be worth sitting through but so far all they were doing is hurting them.
Jay was quick to jump into their defence, realising the anger stretching across each and everyone’s faces.
“It hurts like hell I know. But can’t you see what is happening? Buddy has had control over our lives this whole time.” His voice raised, clearly getting aggravated.
“Jay’s right.” Jonathan began. “Jess you fell in love with Jack, due to a set up made by Buddy. He pretty much chose the person for you to fall for.”
“How is that even possible?” Jess was losing her temper, pissed and upset all mixed into one.
“Buddy knew how close Jay and you were. He told you that Jay wanted to be with you and that he was waiting at this particular bar. Do you remember?” He asked and Jess reluctantly nodded.
“We knew that was where Jack went all the time, because of Jasmine. Jay was never going to be at the bar, Buddy made that up so you would meet Jack and the moment you fell in love with that boy, you added another win to his plan.”
By this point the situation had become all so familiar with both Jess and Jack.
Jack went to pretty much the same bar every week, the same time, with the same friends. It wasn’t difficult to guess.
Jess also remembered that day so clearly. Meeting Jack when she was expecting Jay.
“Life went on and Matt then met Juliet…” Rebecca shrugged.
“Not a lot happened during this time except you guys caught him and Brent red handed. His plan to destroy you failed. You realised he was lying and you broke the gang apart.”
To be continued...

So yeah, if anyone remembers in Bad News when they found out that Brent and Buddy were not on their side. That's where that last bit connects.
