The Answers – Part 1
Later that night Jack arrived home, yet he wasn’t faced with something he was expecting.
Walking in the door at 3am in the morning, pretty drunk yet still able to be in control of himself, he saw Jess and Jasmine sat in the living room.
Cursing under his breath, he ran a hand through his hair aggravated at what was about to go down.
“How could you?” Jess spat, not even giving him chance to speak.
“Babe.” Jack began, wanting to get chance to give his side, but he knew he wouldn’t get much of a word in.
“How fucking could you?” She stood to her feet and it was now clear to him she had tears in her eyes.
Walking over to her he tried to take her hands in his, but instead she slapped him across the face.
His head turned with the impact and he paused there for a moment before turning back around, focusing all of his attention on her.
“I don’t know what she’s told you, but I’m sure if you listen to me it won’t sound as bad.” He spoke in the most calming way he could.
Biting down on her lip, Jess looked up to the ceiling as a tear fell down her cheek, trying to refrain from anyone else seeing.
Jack took this as his opportunity to step forward, lifting his hand to her chin, he guided her face down so she was looking at him.
“We slept together a few times, but before we were even together Jess. I didn’t know who she was, heck I didn’t even know you.” He tried to explain, keeping every bit of anger he had for Jasmine inside.
He knew she was doing this for her own pleasure. She didn’t give a shit about her sister, she just wanted to make her suffer.
“That’s not the point Jack. It’s the fact that you weren’t even going to tell me!” She pulled her head away from his hand, stepping back. “How could you lie to me this whole fucking time? You met her at our damn wedding!”
As Jess gripped onto her hair tightly, before letting it drop down her shoulders once again. She was furious. Furious that she had been lied to by not only her sister but the guy she loved.
Part of her knew he had only done it for her sake, but at the same time her jealousy was kicking in due to who he had messed around with. Her own flesh and blood.
“She wanted to tell you to hurt you, Jess. I didn’t want that. I thought I was doing the right thing by keeping it from you.” Jack pleaded, yet he knew he had made the wrong decision.
He could have told her himself and none of this would have happened.
Nodding her head slowly, she wiped away a tear from her cheek before looking back at him.
“I understand, what with the wedding and that but she’s my sister. Out of everyone you could have slept with, it had to be my sister.”
“You know if I could turn back time I would change that. If I’d have known I was going to meet you…”
As Jasmine saw this making a sudden unplanned turn, she decided to speak up.
“Jess, he was willing to pay me to stop me from talking. You should know that too before he fills your head with soppy apologies.” She raised a brow, a smug smile across her face.
“Don’t start that fucking bullshit. You asked me for ten thousand pounds which I refused.” He stepped forward, the vein in his neck prominent with anger.
